Nejhleader (771), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 7, 2008 has a nice floral hop flavor to it, is a very bitter at the end and for an aftertaste, one of the bitterest IPA’s i’ve had.
Ethereal (693), London, Greater London, England Jul 2, 2008 Bottle at Chris_O’s 19th April 2008 tasting. Light gold with a hoppy aroma and a well-balanced flavour. Not too complex, just good. Very soft on the palate, with a nice coconut aftertaste. Good stuff. robertjm (223), El Cerrito, California, USA Jun 29, 2008 Small tight white head. Lots of carbonation can be seen. Color of body is almost a cross between peach juice and yellow. Clear in nature. Nice hoppy nose. Flavor profile matches that of the nose. My guess its one or two hops at most. None of these crazy 10+ variety blends!! (or at least it tastes that way). Hops linger on palate in the aftertaste. Not too bitter, but still present. Nice beer. Could it be more complex? Perhaps, but sometimes its nice to have something on the simple side. dpjuart (500), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 19, 2008 22 oz bomber shared with Naka. Pours orange with slight ruby tones, egg shell head, foamy and one finger. Nose says pine and floral hops with mild caramel sweetness. Taste is thick, rich caramel malt up front with great floral and mild piny hop notes. Mild citrus and plenty of earthy bitter, but it doesn’t all linger. A sweetness takes over at the end and mellows the bitter in the after . Slight grassiness in the after. Naka (362), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 18, 2008 Courtesy of Juart. Pours a clear orange amber color with a chalk white foamy head. A little lacing as well. A good floral pineapple-y hop nose. Some honey and a little orange. Flavor is hugely floral. Lots of tea and peach. A touch of piney flavors and not really any citrus to speak of. Very sweet... a little too much so. Has a pretty bitter finish that lasts on the tongue. Decent medium to thick body. wilkie (1028), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jun 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber/copper, with a slightly off-white head. Aroma is hops--grapefruit, soap, pine. Flavor is hoppy, but there is a lot of caramel and earthyness. Very smooth. Worthy tribute to Frank.
