Nov 19, 2008 (bottle - 22 oz) Rich red color with a very thick white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy with a good citrus hint at the end. Some caramel malts. Flavor begins with a nice citrus flavor rolling around the tongue that gives way quickly to a very floral and hoppy middle and a slightly dry and bitter hop finish. Bitterness lingers for a while.

Oct 27, 2008 22 oz bomber. Poured a deep reddish mahogany color, very hazy. Thick head with good lacing also. Aroma was a sugary malt, with hops and yeast present as well. Flavor was great, with hops and malt up front, and a nice floral finish. Wow. I need more of this.

Oct 26, 2008 Pours deep red with a nice head that left a good lace. The aroma was full of woodsy hops and a roasty malt. The mouthfeel was nice and full, and it immediately hits the palate with bold herby and grassy hops, and a nice roasted malt flavor. Left a nice lasting hop flavor and bitterness. Definitely a great beer, and one to have again.

Oct 24, 2008 Bomber. Heavy citric and muddy pine hop presence with caramel, brown sugar, light berries, and leathery earthy cherry. Light, translucent copper body with a gorgeously rocky, creamy beige head. Watery body, strongly bitter but without astringency, refreshing but not quite quenching. Strongest caramel with fainter hay and some nice Pilsner notes, citrus damped down but there’s a nice musty sweat, even if reduced to an accent. Slightly warming though with utterly no taste of alcohol, and the weighty earthy hop anchor this brewer loves to chain to my neck. Like their other products, aggressive yet harmonious; very tasty, but not terribly memorable.

Oct 20, 2008 Awesome awesome beer! Pours a semi cloudy amber colour with a huge sticky off white head. Aroma is hoppy. Strong aroma of grapefruit, caramel and lime. Taste is astringent, sort of chewy with big dank hoppy notes. As filling as it is. It is a very clean refreshing beer. Very round on the palate.

Oct 16, 2008 Attractive amber color, nice thick white head. Thick aroma of piney hops mainly. The flavor starts out with caramel malty sweetness, but hops come in relatively quickly to dominate. The finish is a well accomplished balancing act of nice malty sweetness, followed up by an increasing hop bitterness, leading to a nice clean finish. The palate lingers quite a while, with the same mix of sweet and bitter. Nice. complex beer. Great example of the style. (Like most Lagunitas, this guy is also very reasonably priced).
