Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

Bronze pour, whitish head. Very floral aromas. Some malt, citrus, slight caramel. Dominated by the hops though. Finish clean with quite a bite. I found this to be more of an IIPA than an American strong, but that’s just me.

Pours a copper/red color with a thin off white head. Nice citrus hops in the aroma. Very nice balance and very smooth for a 8.3% beer. Goes down easy, little bitterness. Very enjoyable.

22 oz bottle. Pours red with an orange tint and over 2 cm of foamy, off-white head that is slowly diminishing. Some citrus and hops, mostly malt aroma. Caramel, citrus, and malt are the initial flavors. Flavor shifts to become drier and dominated by hops. Dry and sour aftertaste. Tons of lacing, medium body, light carbonation, and lots of warming from the alcohol. Overall, enjoyed it a lot, shocked that its rating is currently below 3.8.

I enjoyed this beer for everything it was and nothing it wasn’t. The price was right and the pour was impressive. The color was a thin red amber and the flavors were of the perfect intesity. Sweet, sour, and the perfect amount of hop. Well done.

Pours a deep reddish amber with an off-white head. Chewy sweet malt, caramel, grapefruit, a bit of dark fruit, and bitter hop finish. Pretty nice american strong, but nothing that special. It’s pretty similar to all the other strong ales from lagunitas.

Cardamom and grapefruit in the aroma. Super smooth, perfectly balanced flavor. This one is a treat.

16 oz draft, Queens. Pours a rusty-coppered color with medium head. Aroma is very floral and pleasant and is the most appealing characteristic of the beer by far. Flavor was very subtle and hoppy, kinda bitter. Palate was very smooth especially given the strength. I really liked this beer and would reccomend it to anyone.

Taste 8/8 Bottle(date?). Looks: Copper red with a dense lacing. Aroma: Sweet caramel and soapy hops. Taste: Nice chewy, non alcoholic taste. Great brew for the price. A little astringent, but that is just a hops variety preference.
