Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

Awww damn what an excellent ASA. One of these "IPA hopped Reds" like Port’s Shark Attack and GF’s Hop Head Red. Pours ruby brown, not much yellow head. You get a nice malt contingent and a grapefruity hoppy flavor in the nose.

75cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa). Pours ruby brown with a thin white head. Notes of hops, grapefruit, citrus, caramel and malt are present in the nose. Taste is bitter and hoppy with notes of grapefruit and citrus with a lingering hoppy finish.

Tap at RFD. Aroma is quite hoppy. Earthy deep molasses maltiness with lots of fresh pine and light fruity hoppiness. Rich sweet toasty malts and a nice cookie-dough like sweetness. Lots of pine and very fresh snappy hoppiness. I’ve had this beer many times and it seems to get nicer each time I have it.

This dark brown ale poured with a fluffy beige head and a malty aroma. This is a malty and hoppy brew, with the hops dominating a bit, especially at the finish.

650 ml. Orange-dark copper with a three-finger lasting head. Aroma is pine-citrus, slight caramel, and occasional iron. Flavor is earthy citrus, molasses, bitter wood and resin, slight cocoa and toasted pecan. Medium body leans to smooth, finishes dry, and has some hop tingle on the tongue. A good beer that seems a bit one-dimensional and hop-harsh at times, but at $4.25 (in Atlanta) this bomber is a much better value than most, so an extra tenth on the "overall" point for that.

Bomber. Nice red/amber color as it glugged into my chilled pint glass. Small head that faded quickly. Aroma of malt and some spice. The flavor reminds me of their imperial red but its been awhile since I have had the red, so I may be wrong. A very good beer and I would love to have another and another and....

On tap and in bottles everywhere these days in Portland...and I love it!--Pours a rich amber body. Thick, dark, yet glowing sienna and crimson-ish. Nice thick white head. Piquant, spicy, bitter, malty, lush nose. Invitingly fruity and bold. Full-bodied might be an understatement. This beer rocks the bitter bombastic beast inside of this hophead.. Scrumdiddiliuptious, cuzzin!
