Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

clear orange color with a small, but lacy head. Smells almost exactly like a pine tree, lots of hops, which are evident in the taste as well, with some citrus coming through.

22 oz. brown bomber bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a deep copper color, with a sticky tan head. Aromas are of roasted malts, piney hops. Flavors are piney hops, roasted malts, slight nuttiness. Medium mouthfeel, decent body. Tasty beer overall.

22oz bottle, courtesy of bstill. Thanks, Brian! Pours a bright, clear orange-amber color; khaki head with excellent retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Basic sugar, earthy and citrus hoppiness in the aroma; straightforward. Chewy medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of residual sugar, some astringent hops (earthy, citrus); a typical Lagunitas ASA profile; lengthy, sugary finish; astringent hops and bland sugary maltiness.

Pours a dark amber color w/ a tall lasting head. Sticky lacing w/ a fluffy ring and partial canopy. Strong aromas of citrus rind. Full nectar w/ soft and creamy residual effers. Nice! Strict hops balance a sturdy malt body creating a superlative sense of equilibrium within this specimen’s overall makeup. It’s beautiful I tell you. For extreme red this one pulls off the unexpected balancing act w/ only a mild sweetness factor. The hop component really digs in and scars the user like aspirin. Caramel, leather, and citrus interwoven perfectly. The finish is long w/ gobs of asprin hop fulfillment. Highly recommended.

We haaave a winnerrrr!!! I haven’t had a beer this drinkable in recent memory. Doesn’t overpower you with ridiculous hop content, doesn’t load you down with head-hurt "buzz" like with a Barley Wine, it’s just a classic strong Red with ample hints of rye. An interesting aroma of rye accented by chipotly-ey peppery something; the point is that it’s accented with a sharpness that I rarely get in an aroma. The point is that it’s interesting and keeps you sniffing out of the bottle, but of course you get impatient and pour. Long story short, much like this Delius I’m listening to ("A Song of Summer," segueing into "Irmelin Prelude"), its understated subtlety brings forth a sweet beauty. An outstanding offering from Lagunitas at just over $3/bomber. Why does it have to be only seasonal?

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, and sweet malt. Taste is the same as aroma with notes of pine. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate to strong amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Hoppy, peaty aroma which gets a little fruity and boozy as it warms. Great tattoo art label, rusty brown beer, lacing head. Buffered acidity, not very sweet, chalky mouthfeel. It’s almost got a porter/American brown ale thing going on. Bitter. Chalky roast finish with some grassiness. Distinctive. Market Square Liquors.

Light brownish red with nice head. Good citrus aroma. minimal malt profile with big, bitter piney hops. Hop flavor isn’t enough to justify the level of bitterness.
