Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

I always get kinda stumped when rating a beer like this - It’s good, and definately well made, but really pretty simple. Not that simple is bad, it just doesnt’t give much leeway for descriptions. So, all in all, a really nice beer, with lots of caramel and toffee giving way to a nice, assertive hop bit. Oh, and bonus points for the cool label. Thanks to Springslicker for this one!

Found this bomber in my closet. Must have bought it about a year ago. Pours a hazy coppery orange with a nice fluffy tight head and some solid lacing. Aroma is surprisingly still hoppy, but in a faded and lightly stale sense, but somehow still enjoyable- similar to some of the really old Stone Anniversary releases in the stale but pleasant hop quality- some nutty malts, lgiht sweetness, and some toffee with light soy ox. Flavor is also still on the hoppy side- piney with a sharp bite, smooth medium toast malst and light caramel malts with a nice agressive bitterness. Held up pretty well after a year.

Slightly hazy red body with a large frothy off-white head. Sweet caramel, bready aroma with earthy and floral hops as it warms this blends into rum soaked fruit. Sweet earthy flavor with lots of dry caramel and rum soaked fruit. Medium full body with moderately low carbonation, smooth finish.

Reddish color with a nice looking head. Aroma is big and malty with a nice earthy hoppiness. Flavor is skewed too much to the malt side and tastes somewhat medicinal Drinkable, but only decent.

Bomber pours clear copper with tan head and some sheet lacing. The aroma is mild with roasted malts and vague hops. Could use a bigger bolder nose. The taste is a burst of roasted and sweet malts along with mildly bitter grapefruit hops. The hops are strong but not at all overboard bitter. I also get a dash of pine hops too. The level of grapefruit hop bitterness grows into the finish aided and balanced by malt sweetness and roastiness. It ends with a pleasing hop bitterness lingering a bit into the after taste. Nice even tasting brew.

Pours an amber red with a thick off white head. Amazing head retention and great lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Flavor is a well balanced malt backdrop and a nice hop profile. Caramel, toffee, some fruit, and a touch of citrus. Barely noticeable alcohol presence. Slightly bitter, perfect carbonation all the way through. Very good.

On-tap. Pours a deep orangish red with a somewhat thick head of off-white bubbles. Smells sweet and malty with bit of hoppiness in the background. Tastes malty sweet up front with some caramel and sweet citrus and then a little bit of bitter hops hits on the back of the tongue and swallow. Thick, but smooth and crisp and does not coat the mouth too badly. Definitely more drinkable than say an Alesmith Decadence double red. Haven’t seen it here in SD in bottles though.
