Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

Sample @ RNH: nice hoppy feel, unfortunately some metallic tastes coming up... Some caramel, nice carbonation and esters... Unexpected grassy finish.

aroma is of snapping, brittle crunching brown toffee. appearance is dark amber morphing to ruby. flavor is of a perfect balance of aforementioned toffee and bittering hops that do their occupation without overt aromatic notes of their own. some fruits come to the table in flashes, like a dream...plums and cherries; dancing. wonderful example of the US’s own style of ’BIG beers’, aka ASA

Pours a deep brownish red with an inch off white head. Aroma is big citrus hops with a little malt trying to shine through. Flavor is again the hops with a good bit of caramel malt.

Bottle. Pours a ruby tinged clear brown with a medium to large lightly tanned beige head. Big pine and light citrus with a lot of malt behind it and some toasted biscuit. A bit thin, malty and almost a touch acrid, though this may be an older bottle as it’s picked up a bit of old malt and plum/prune sort of flavors. Finishes with a big strong bitter that’s worth some of the other little flaws.

A red beer with a 1 finger head. A nice hoppy aroma with pine, & fruit. Taste was fruity, hoppy, & very smooth with the 8.3% ABV very well hidden. A good beer

Bottle. Pours a reddish brown with compact white head. Aroma is mostly hoppy and flavor is malty and slightly sweet with caramel but still toasty and stuff. Lots of citrus and piney hops. Finish is hoppy and all that. Good beer I think. What the heck.
