Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 28, 2007 Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, another great session] Average thick creamy like head that really lasted. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy body with an amber color. Aroma of grapefruit, elderflower, pine, citrus, caramel, some underlying fruity notes, light liquorish and apricot. Medium to full bodied with a dry texture and lively carbonation. Balanced moderated biter and sweet flavor. Dry and bitter finish. Very nice beer. 15-08-2007 kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA Aug 27, 2007 12 oz bottle, 6/24/07: Reddish orange w/ a short lived light beige head. Aroma at first is herbal and green spruce piney, resiny hops up front. Also a touch of what seems to be cat urine? Very little malt presence when chilled, and clean of most fruity esters. Toasted malt moderate and strengthens only as it warms. Well balanced, lightly bready and herbal hops up front in the flavor w/ hints of pine. Caramel malt is medium, and it’s pretty clean of fruity esters for the most part. Herbal and piney hop flavor into the dry finish; aftertaste is piney hops. Medium body, smooth, creamy m/f. Well hidden alcoho, dry m/f after the swallow. Not a terribly exciting beer, but well made. Would be well suited to someone that really, really likes piney hops... Me not being one of them. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 26, 2007 Thanks to Juancho. Great Surprise! Really enjoyed it well balanced, citrus. Nice dry, hoppy finish. Really liked it. joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 21, 2007 Bottle.
Clear orange coloured with an off white ehad.
Aroma of caramel, hops and pine needles.
Flavour of malts, caramel, hops and pine needles. yespr (11649), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 20, 2007 1 pt 6 fl oz bottle. Pours orange with a lacing white head. Dry malty and hoppy: slight fruity aroma. Dry and fruity flavour, caramel notes. Dry and slight metallic finish. Ungstrup (14758), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 19, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with a light orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of vegetables as well as lighter notes of berries. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and caramel, as well as light notes of alcohol, leading to a slighlty bitter finish. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Aug 19, 2007 This beer poured an amber apperance. An orange, caramel, and perfume filled aroma. This is a big beer with alot of malt and hops going on at the same time. The flavor has some caramel, orange peel, and pine. Overall this was a very nice beer.
