COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first brewhouse in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers- The Noble Brewer of the planet’s only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon’s Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero’s path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on it’s path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specialty breweed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering.

Citrus, pine, and toasted bread aroma. Flavors of grapefruit, toffee, apricots, and butter rum. Kind of reminds me of a blond version of Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. Cloying, bitter finish. I wasn’t impressed at first but it does grow on a person after a while. Not Lags best though.

Nice honey brown body complete with a good 1” fluffy cap. Looks like it will be a tasty one. Normal west coast hop aroma you know the one, peach, leather, caramel, lemon. Epically stick lacing. Nice bitter flavor, very peach with a good balance of sweetness. Earth, caramel, leather, more stuff. Great drinking brew, easy to slam and yum. The 8.3% is hidden completely and could probably get you in trouble if your nat paying attention. Yum. So in conclusion peach, leather, hops, better, sweet, YUM!!

Thus beer pours a rich amber with a thin off white head. The aromas are bread, light pine, citrus. The mouthfeel is dry, slightly bitter with a heavy body. Food beer. Cheers!

Tap at the Ginger Man FW. Served in my brand new Laganitas jar/glass. Pours a clear light copper color with a nice white head. The aroma is fairly hoppy, but not overly so. Good sense of hops and well balanced fruit. Good aroma. Flavor is hoppy bitter with a bite from the ABV. Sweet and tart fruit can also be felt and tasted. This is pretty solid.

Pours a deep golden color with a good sized fluffy white head that shows great retention and lace. Aromas of citrus and pine waft from the bottle the second it is opened. Sweet toffee and caramel malt backbone hold this one up quite well. Taste is citrus and pine up front, sweet caramel and burnt sugar pop in for a second somewhere in the middle. The hops take over the finish and dance for a second with a touch of ethanol. The malty sweetness is almost approaching maibock here but the hops are powerful enough to keep that in check. Medium body and level of carbonation. Resinous and sweet sticky mouthfeel. This is nice, I liked it. It’s a bit different, but I really enjoyed it.

The beer pours golden copper with a small but decent white head. The aroma is hoppy sweet candy, a bit perfumey, but I really like it. The flavor is hoppy and lightly perfumey as well from the hops with light notes of citrus fruits. The body is medium and the ending is not bitter at all, but smooth and pleasant setting gently with the hop notes.

This beer pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma has a bit of malt, a lot of hops and a good deal of booze. The flavor Has that malty sweetness for a second or two and then gets the hops full force. Very clean and crisp. Well done.

22 ounce bottle into snifter. Pours crystal clear orangish golden amber color with a dense 1 finger off white head with great retention that reduces to a fairly thick lacing cap. Nice amount of thick lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big pine, orange, lemon, grapefruit, breadiness, caramel, and molasses. Very nice and complex aromas with nice strength. Taste is tons of orange, lemon, caramel, pine, honey, breadiness, and a bit of spiciness as well. Nice amount of bitterness on the finish that lingers with caramel, citrus, and pine flavors; with some nice sweetness in there as well. Insanely balanced beer, with just the right amount of sweetness, and overall great balance of all flavors throughout. Insanely smooth drinking for being almost 9%, with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is basically invisible, only a a slight warming after the finish noticed. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied. Overall, an absolutely outstanding offering from Lagunitas. So much well balanced flavor.

Poured from bomber, pours a clear orange/golden with a thin white head and no lacing, aroma is full of citrus and pine, the flavor is really off on this one, has some notes of pine but then it gets just plain bad, the mouthfeel is awful and it coats your entire mouth, the aftertaste is terribly bitter but not in the good way I usually enjoy hoppy brews, I really don’t understand this one.
