Blonde version of Lucky 13, released in 2011 and 2012.
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first brewhouse in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers- The Noble Brewer of the planet’s only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon’s Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero’s path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on it’s path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specialty breweed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering.

Bottle: Poured a copper color with a finger off white carbonated head. Aroma was strong leafy malt and hops. Nice strong hops forward that subsides to leave a balanced malt and dry tongue finish.

pours golden clear copper orange, smallish foamy head, good retention, sticky lacing, lots of active streams. Strong citrus aromas and an IPA hoppy nose. Drinks with a nice fruity 7/10-sweetness, medium-soft bitter orange peel bitterness up front, sharp-soft hops, creamy-light fizz mouthfeel, tangerine, mango, pine, malts, finishing sharp bitttery hoppy. Medium complexity, medium depth, good transitions, good carry, decent drinkability. After many sips this one weighs on the palate.

Lagerboy (1378) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 30, 2012
Mostly clear orange yellow, frothy off white head fades leaving soapy stepped lacing. Pungent pine citrus hop aroma. Bold pine hop taste up front, well balanced with a more subdued caramel malt background, moderately bitter. Average carbonation, medium bodied, well hopped. Piney hops linger in the finish. IPA-ers will like this. Lah-Goo-Knee-Tuss continues to impress. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Bottle. Pours clear orange amber with a large off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, bread. Flavor is about the same, more of a caramel base, lightly sweet and light to medium bitter with a lingering bitter finish that gets stronger in the far finish.

Malt is borderline lagery. Very strong hop. Pine oil and citrus is very "sharp." The color is clear golden yellow. Massive head. Minor, slow carbonation. You’d never know how heavy this baby is. The malts are heavy and sugary; toffee and puckery cherry. The aftertaste is pungent. Feels thick and chunky and buttery. Just this side of a barleywine. Somehow it’s a bit too much.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks Dad! Hazy orange pour with nice lacing white head, aroma brought notes of nice caramel, toffee, hints of earth, grain, touch of orange, grapefruit notes in there, pretty sweet. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, some grass, slight earthy and spicy notes, some orange, finishing sweet, slightly dry. Decent.
