This red ale poured with a nice beige head, eliciting a sour aroma. There is a funky barnyard flavor with a bitter chalky finish. It doesn’t live up to the picture on the label.

Bottle from KAggie97. Thanks, man! You never fail to amaze me! If only every son could live up to what you have established... oh, would this world not be Utopia? Pours a deep, solid mahogany and red wine with an off-white head. Smells of strawberry Quick syrup and sweet bread. Flavor is buttered biscut, soda bread, and a slight maple syrup undertone. Full and coating mouthfeel. Fitting tribute to a musical genius not named Ace Frehley.

Pour is ruby brown and clear with a thin big bubbled tan head...smell is sweet and malty with some toasty notes, molasses, pear, and a little bit of hoppy grapefruit...taste is sweet and toasty at first, with lots of bread dough flavors...a light but building hoppy grapefruit bitterness....a lingering sweet finish...not bad, but lots of that signature Lagunitas house charcter...

Okay, so I’m not swayed in any way that this has a photo of my guy FZ on the label, and Lagunitas has arranged to have a beer dedicated to FZ on different LP release dates. I’m not! Okay, so maybe a little. But I shared this with my older bro, who isn’t a fan of FZ and he enjoyed this as much as I did.

The beer pours out a reddish amber color, lightly filtered with a nice creamy head left and nice lacing. Aroma caramel, light toffee, with enough floral hops to notice. Nothing really special in the aroma and the flavor was the same. Floral hops, some light toasted malts, and peanut brittle. A bit too sweet to really notice the hops, but it still worked fairly well in the end. Long live Zappa!

Clear dark ruby, moderate head with decent lacing and retention. Aroma is caramel, earth, toast, low hops, lightly fruity. Medium bodied, quite sweet. Not bad, but not great either.

(Bottle) Pours a clear dark amber body with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, cocoa, citrus, toastiness, and nuts. Flavor of caramel and toasted malts, nuts, and citrusy hops with a nice carbonated mouthfeel.

Bronze with nice frothy head. Aroma is caramel and light piney hops. Flavour is quite rich of malts and semi-sweet with a touch of whiskey. Finishes with a touch of darker choclate malt.

Nice sweet bitter chocolate malt. Pours dark amber with reddish tint. Nice one inch head, well carbonated but not too much. Dry, bitter finish. Recommended. R.I.P. F.Z.
