Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie, caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, flowers, resin), with a note of black tea. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Kinda boring...fairly syrupy/sticky sweet with little of interest in the nose. No real flaws here, just a very generic strong beer. Seems stronger than 7.2%.

Aroma is caramel, and some hops. Average off-white head that left great lace and mostly diminished. Deep clear dark amber. Flavor is caramel and some hops that finishes slightly bitter. Palate is medium/full bodied and smooth. Nothing redeeming about this brew, except that I don’t have to ever drink it again.

Frank Zappa... I think the man would have enjoyed this beer. He probably would have made some sort of musical instrument out of the bottle/s and rocked our socks off. It’s too bad that people don’t rock the mustache the way Zappa always did.

From bottle pours out brown with a thin tan foam head that fades quickly. Aromas of caramel and slight hoppiness. The flavor is think with sweet toffee and raisin. Ends with a mild hoppiness. There is very little carbonation which makes the beer feel thick and sticky in the mouth. This beer is easy to drink but not that special either.

Pours brown with a thin white head. Aroma of chocolate malts and some darker fruits. Maybe a little toffee. Toffee, chocolate, dates, currants, vanilla. Moderate carbonation. A malt heavy beer with a mild hop bitterness in the finish.

Poured a hazy copper color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of light floral hops, toffee malts, roast, caramel, citrus fruits, and light pine. Taste of caramel malts, citrus fruits, light roast, toffee, nougat, and a mildly bitter finish. No alcohol noted.

Bomber, what else? Pours clear dark copper with a lacy white head. Aroma of cookie dough, nuts, earth. Full body and light carbonation. The taste starts sweet, but shifts gears, moving on to nuts, citrus toast, tea on the way to a bitter-dry finish. I dunno, but this beer seems to be just OK. Maybe I’m not in the right mood?
