Bottle from BevMo online. Dark copper/ruby colored upon pouring. Sugary sweet aroma with a fair amount of roasted coffee and some chocolate. Roasted malty character up front with a bit of hoppiness in the finish.

Poured a clear red with a large beige head. The aroma is malty with some fruity and nutty notes. Light hops. The flavor is malty with an odd fruitiness and some earthiness. Medium body with a semi-dry bitter finish.

Clear brown, light tan fizzy head. Nose held soft notes of vanilla toast and citrus with an underlying brown sugar tone. Soft hoppy flavors ride over light notes of dark fruit, vanilla caramel and hints of chocolate. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, bittersweet finish. Not bad, not great. Thanks for sharing, artusory!

Bottle. Copper pour with a short fizzy tan head. Nose is caramel, soft fruit, spices, sweet malts and almost dessert-like. Taste is hoppy, spicy, slight floral with yeast notes, caramel, sweet malts, and dark fruit. Body is thick and slightly creamy with some lingering bitterness. Carbonation is moderate. Finishes with more sweet malts, caramel, spices, soft hops and dark fruit notes. Tasty!

Pours with a clear, deep amber body topped by a medium thick head with good lacing. It’s sweet and malty wiht a slight candy sugar note, a little tomato and a hint of hops. Medium bodied, smooth and a hint dry.

dark brown and clear, no head, mild malt nose, slightly bitter on initial swig, then it milds out to a buttery toffee malt flavor, malt dominated flavor, tastes subtly roasty, a lil’ bit warming, a good ale but no stand out.

Very nice looking - dark orange thick fluffy and rocky head. Nutty bread dough aroma along with some sweet bock-like notes of brown sugar, raisins. Palate is smooth, rich, malty, with some pine. Very impressive. I don’t get the booziness others noted.

Pour is ruby brown and clear with a thin big bubbled tan head...smell is sweet and malty with some toasty notes, molasses, pear, and a little bit of hoppy grapefruit...taste is sweet and toasty at first, with lots of bread dough flavors...a light but building hoppy grapefruit bitterness....a lingering sweet finish...not bad, but lots of that signature Lagunitas house charcter...
