| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in a pub glass. The beer pours a burnished deep golden color, with a small-but-thick white head. The nose gives some citrusy hop notes, as well as some more danky Simcoe-like aromas. There is also some strong malt notes, perhaps high crystal, which counter the hops. The palate is floral up front, again showing some citus notes, malt-driven in the middle, and then assertively bitter in the swallow and finish. A slight fruit character is noticeable from the yeast, but it is fairly restrained, and only seems to compliment the rest of the beer’s flavors. Overall, nicely done. yemenmocha (354), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Luxurious clear amber color with generous white head. Beautiful.
Nose is mixed citrus and pine, with a clean/sterile component that is nice.
Palate is assertively piney and dry, with citrusy hops and mild toasty malt in the background. Alcohol is apparent.
Finish is quite long.
For the style this is a very, very good beer but a little too much pine & alcohol warmth for my preference, as it interferes some with the drinkability for me. ilherps (226), Carbondale, Illinois, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2009 (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, apricots, a hint of pine needles and caramel malt to match the fruity hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange, dried apricots, some grapefruit and pine needles. Solid caramel malt to balance the generous hop character. Nice, tasty and very well balanced. TKA300 (100), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Pretty good, and a little unexpected. I expected a lot of hop character but the intense citrus taste was a little bit of a surprise. It was really hoppy and was actally pretty refreshing. stobbe74 (700), Denmark
