It poured a golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was hoppy with some citrus and herbal notes, along with some pine. The flavor, fairly thick, decent amount of bitterness. Well balanced with a decent amount of malt character that comes out on the palate. Medium bodied. A very solid, flavorful IPA.

A very good IPA. Lagunitas is fast becoming one of my favorite breweries. The color is light amber and it has very little head. It smells piney, but not overwhelmingly so. The beer has a very strong hoppy flavor, but the bitterness is not as overwhelming as the label would have you believe. In fact, this beer is very palatable. If it wasn’t for the extraordinarily high alcohol content (for a beer), I could put quite a few away. The flavor will overwhelm bland foods, so don’t pair it with something bland.

Good beer, decent double IPA. Excellent balance, slight hoppy aroma, mild hoppy start, medium malt balance, with bitter finish. My only complaint is that I would like it to have a hoppier taste. Some complexity going on here, good CO2. Overall, good brew, worth the try.

Pours clear amber with a tiny white head. Aroma is juicy hops, sweet caramel malts, peach, orange, pine, toasted bread and light citrus. Taste is hoppy along with alot of caramel malts. some fruity notes from the Aroma leading to a piney bitter end.

Clear red orange with no lacing. Medium yeasty aroma and grass/flowers with notes of corriander. Flavor is great hoppiness and the bitters are a great accompianment. Fun warm weather beer that will warm you up inside.

A copper colored beer with a small white head. The aroma is very nice, with notes of pine, citrus, and peach. The flavor is medium bitter, with lemon, grass, and pine notes. Not so pronounced on the alcohol, which is nice for a double, just lots of big hops characteristics.

Love this beer! Great initial hop bite, then some beautiful sweet balance (vanilla?). Long bitter finish. Refreshing carbonation, and medium body in the mouth.

Pours a very slightly hazy light copper, with an effevescent off white head. Hoppy grapefruit citrus - including peel - and malt aroma, with spice notes and... vanilla? Nice robust bitter and light caramel sweetness, with the malt coming through a bit more than through just the aroma. Lingering bitter finish. Low carbonation, but really helps amplify this beer. I’m loving this one.
