jcweaver (65), VA Beach, Virginia, USA Apr 4, 2009 The name says it all. Maximus, very hoppy very good beer, poured from a bottle with an amber color and a nice head, a must try Rustyham (552), miami, Florida, USA Apr 4, 2009 A strong Ipa flavor, with sweet bubblegum coriander and a non-hop tasting causticness in addition to the great I2PA flavor. SaulusHumulus (47), Helsinki, Finland Apr 2, 2009 Bottled. My bottle had leaked due to cork opening a little bit by rough contact with other bottles in the parcel on way to Finland. I tasted it straight away as I opened the parcel and realized what had happened. It was fine except that the bottle had lost all the carbonation making it kind of flat. Also, no foam formed while pooring. So it was a little bit real ale -like. Anyhow, pours copper-brownish. Aroma of exotic fruit, mango and pineapple, and slightly bitter hoppiness. Hoppy flavor is deliciously fruity and malty sweet. Hoppiness was kind of lame to me, maybe due to leaking. fallingleaves (13), Colorado, USA Mar 31, 2009 Updated: Apr 8, 2009Pleasant aroma of hops and pine. Strong body witch may over bearing in its citrusy overtones coupled with a fine hoppy sensation. Carbonation was not to be expected. Overall, I might think about possibly drinking this beer in future, hopefully on tap instead. Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA Mar 31, 2009 Another great IPA option from this brewery. Amber color. More pine flavors. Clean and crisp. TBone (6678), Pori, Finland Mar 29, 2009 Bottled (CK).
Clear amber-copper color, small white head. Strong aroma of pineapple and hops. Quite sweet and malty flavor with lots of pineapple and resiny notes. Some citrus in the finish too. Not really powerful for IIPA. And seems that I am not a fan of pineapple and hop combination -to me this looks a bit overrated here. GreggG (19), Spokane, Washington, USA Mar 23, 2009 Bomber. Pours a nice coppery-orange color with a one-finger white head. Strong aroma of citrus, including grapefruit and pineapple. Flavor is smooth and sweet at first, with a good amount of malt to balance the large quantity of hops. Finish is slightly sticky and resinous, followed by delicious bitterness. Great IPA at a good price - would definitely buy again. jjuf1853 (467), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Mar 22, 2009 Bottle pours a copper color similar to the IPA. Foamy white head and excellent lacing along the side of the glass. Aroma is hoppy with notes of honey, grapefruit and pineapple. Flavor is sweet and malty up front and bitter and hoppy on the back end.
