beerfest5 (128), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA Mar 4, 2009 WAY TOO SWEET! couldnt finish the whole thing because of how sweet the finish is. started off fine, a little malty for how i like imperial IPA’s, but not bad. but the aftertaste and the finish was no good, dissapointing because of their regular IPA. captaincass (45), Everson, Washington, USA Mar 4, 2009 not as much of a hop aroma as expected. looks a little thin, taste is extremely sweet, almost like a barleywine with an alcoholic aftertaste, not very much hops.disappointing. thejon375 (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 4, 2009 Again not a fan of IPAs, but at least this one had more flavor then just a kick in the teeth of hops. If you love IPAs its a must have. BeerNeedy (60), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Mar 2, 2009 22 oz bottle. Small aroma of pine and hops. Poured a bright copper with a small quickly vanishing white head. Flavor began to approach DIPA standard and held it’s ground throughout. A little rough on the palate, but not unexpected. Overall a workmanlike ale. crondonik (32), California, USA Mar 2, 2009 22 oz. Bottle. 3/1/09. Hazy straw color with an ok head that thins to a white cover. Smells of resinous hops that is a little thin but still nice. Tastes of sticky hops and malt that lingers for a short time. Good imperial but could be more hefty. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Mar 1, 2009 Dégusté avec Agaguk et Pyrozoid. Apparence or limpide avec une belle petite mousse blanche qui colle tres bien au verre. Aromes de pin, gingembre, zeste d’orange et un poivre leger mais intéressant.
