COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Big bold hop and citrus nose. Big fluffy head. Attack is very fruity, notes of sweet grapefruit? Ends a little too sweet for me. Still dang good.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2011 Bottle from a hole in the wall liquor store in Lendrum strip mall, Edmonton. 8.2%. Pours a darker amber, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is citrusy, grapefruit hops predominant. Taste is extremely hoppy, tempered with a pleasant citrusy sweetness that disguises the higher abv quite well. Exquisite.

12 ounce bottle at the Bayou. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is sticky sweet caramel and hops. A rich fruity flavor, resin, caramel, light bitterness. Quite nice, smooth and drinkable.

Yummy, but expecting a little more. Would drink again, but not as hoppy as I would have expected and a little light on the tongue.

(bottle, alcohol 7,5 %) Beautiful clear and extremely orange with huge thick head. Overwhelming aroma of malty biscuits and ripe citrusy hops. Taste is malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness, impressions of mandarine, peach, orange, grapefruit and biscuits. The alcohol is evident. Dry and bitter finish. Not bad, but body is too bold and massively malty to my palate. I prefer my IPAs to be lighter, rather dry and more astringent bitter.

355ml bottle from Firefly Liqour Store, Vancouver, BC

Pours light orange with a minimal head. Aroma is strong with notes of malts and pine. Taste is quite malty with notes of grass and hops. Long lasting, bitter and sticky finish. Okay, but quite malty IIPA.

Drank just on cool, but not cold. It shimmers in the light, not quite bright with very minute particles caught in suspension. A deep amber-tinged orange with very fine, slow to rise, carbonation. Head forms late into the pour, a messy, sloppy, foamy mass of white that holds well and laces rings down the glass. Smells predominately of ‘Ovaltines’ and ‘Milo’ with an edge of burnt sugar and savoury plums and raisins. Marmalade and caramelised fruit undertones. It has a good level of alcohol spice that tickles the olfactories, nice and penetrating nose. The first mouthful is full-ball; lots of chewy, biscuity, grainy sweet malt and juicy fruit esters - tangerines, lychee, blood orange, plums and apricots – just draw out saliva in a fluster of all-tingling flavour. Smooth, silky, well-rounded, a mild spritz of carbonation teases the tip of the tongue. Good apex of woody, piney, vine-like and earthy hop nastiness at the rear perfectly in-sync with the meaty palate. Finish is smooth as silk, a tangy, juicy continuation of the palate with alcohol well hidden, fades out clean. This is absolutely delicious. Might even bring me back around to loving Pale ales again. Really good stuff! (12fl/oz, no date stamp, Cellarbrations Carlisle)
