3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bottle on 10/20/06. Gold pour with a large off white head. Fresh grainy aroma with nice citrus notes. Medium body with just the right carbonation, and a slightly resinous mouthfeel. Good sweet caramel backbone that is beautifully balnced with spice and citrus hop flavors that brings it to a pleasing dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is floral, pine and citrus hops with a deep caramel malt sweetness beneath. Body is a murky orange/caramel color and holds a creamy and lassting white head. Bitter piney hop fore with some milder grapefruit notes and a big dollop od syrupy caramel sweetness that runs through all flavor ranges. Decent as this style goes, but the hops become distracting to my palate after a short time.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark amber with a nice white head which fades a bit while drinking. Aroma is of pine. Flavor is pine and citrus hops with a decent malt backbone. Definitely a beer for hopheads, but remains drinkable. Might not be the most complex or interesting IIPA, but it is quite enjoyable for the hopheads out there.

Bottle 65 cl. Clear dark amber colour with a decent off-white head. Fruity (oranges/grapes) and malty aroma. Sweet flavour and thick palate. Mandatory dry and very bitter finish. Not the most sophisticated I2PA...

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours orange with a dirty white head. Aroma is big bready malts, carmel, and toasted notes. Flavor is sweet bready malts. Dry bitter finish. The body is pretty thick initially, but seems to get more watery with each sip.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours deep copper color, with a medium white head. Hops in the aroma, piney and citrusy. Taste is somewhat subdued for an IIPA, citrus and pine hops with some cookie malt. Decent bitterness right from the start. It’s ok.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer starts with a deep, brassy hue capped by a moderate and white frothy head. Hops are at the forefront in the aroma with big elements of spruce, grapefruit and orange. The malts are subdued, merely a touch of cookies and light caramel. Beginning with a light caramel sweetness, a bold hoppy prelude and strong fruity acidity, there is a slow malt fade as the finish reveals a sharp and striking hop bite. The finish is off-dry, the texture managing a certain slickness despite the bustliing carbonation. I could easily do without the caramel presence and a drier finish, but this is still a very effective hop vehicle and a good (non-barleywine!) DIPA.
