At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Extremely sweet aroma of citrus hops and molasses. Fairly well balanced with bitter hop finish and malty undertones. Extremely hoppy on several levels. Good example of a West Coast IPA though not strong enough for an Imperial.

I liked this a lot. Lots of citrus hops and some sweet swedish fish flavor. Good beer and i think it was like $4 for a bomber.

Bomber .. Citusry, apricot, light malts, (very slight aroma - head’s in the way) Clear copper. Nice long lasting head, lots of small bubbles, good lacing Malty start w/ a long hoppy(bitter) finish. Good balance Medium-full body, medium carbonation, a bit sticky at the end A tasty, big beer. A nice balance with an emphasis on hops. Good beer

22 ounce bottle from BeerandBlues2. Poured into my Duvel tulip. Poured on the lighter side of copper with a billowing, resinous, slightly darker than white head. Very nice lacing. Gobs and gobs of pine and citrus in the aroma. If you get your nose deep enough you get friggin’ Pine-Sol. The flavor is pretty underwhelming. Not really imperial at all. Yeah there’s citrus and pine and its a great drink, just not what I look for. I guess its the price you pay for being a style guy. The palate is fine. Sweet and resinous. I’d really drink this any time, but its not imperial.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark copper with virtually no head and minimal lacing. Nose is hoppy; dominated by west coat hops (cascade?). Flavor is pretty boring for an IIPA. Not much going on here...

22 oz Bottle: Pours a deep golden color with an off white head that remains atop for most of the whole beer and leaves sticky foamy residue all along the side of my shaker glass. Lemon, other citrus, pine, grass, citrus, caramel, wheat ... with the pine and lemon really jumping out at you. The flavor is sweet initially with a hop power bomb in the middle another sweet malt flavor and hop bitterness to finish off. An interesting balance. Some grapefruit, pine, citrus/lemon, caramel flavors. The caramel is suprisingly strong in the flavor. Some bitterness as it warms in standard IIPA fashion, although it gives the impression of a heavily carbonated beer (although there are some seriously small bubbles floating to the top, its not an overly carbonated beer).

220z. Bottle: Clear copper color with a cream colored head and sticky lacing. Aromas of pine needles, grass & junipers. Powerful bitter, hoppy taste of graprfruit rinds. Thick and smooth body with average carbonation. It leaves a nice bitter aftertaste lingering for sometime. Delicious.

Yiha 500. Pours a clear brown with a tanned head. Quite bitter. Hoppy aromas of resin, pine and grapefruit. Full bodied. Not overwhelming hoppy and bitter finish. Average IIPA.

22oz bottle. Rich amber color and long lasting head. A little piney on the tongue and quite hoppy on the aroma but certainly not as bitter as one would expect from an IIPA

Poured an amber-orange color with a small head and minimal lacing. The aroma was light pines with some citrus and grapefruit aromas. The flavor was of mild alcohol, dominated by citrus and some grapefruit hoppy flavors. Light pine hops underneath. The mouthfeel was moderate with light carbonation. A nice beer. Re-rated in 3/3, no changes.
