COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

There is something fairly comical that this beer advertises itself as being an extreme version of anything...this is not an extreme beer. There is pleasant aromas of citrus, lemon zest, and pine...the malts are present, and well balanced, in the flavor with citrus and pine from the hops. This is a great IPA, but definitely not an IIPA in my opinion, and I am not just talking by Pacific Northwest hop monster standards.

Poured into a shaker glass. Aroma is really hoppy, and pleasant. Appearance is clear amber, with a thin head. Pretty typical looking for a IPA. Flavour is very floral hoppy. Not to bitter for the high IBU rating. Mouth feel is medium bodied, and kind of watery. Carbonation is normal. For me this is a good IPA that didn’t have much flair, but its good!

Deep reddish gold pour with a thin, sticky white head. Rich orange and grapefruit aroma, with a sharp hop bite. Caramel, estery sweetness. Taste is malty, bready sweetness up front. Somewhat bitter piney finish, but the hops are largely balanced by the hefty malt bull. Mouthfeel is fizzy and well carbonated. Not my favorite Lagunitas offering, but not bad.

12 oz bottle - Pours an murky orange color with a nice foamy white head. Nose of intesne floral hops, pine and citrus. The taste had the same intensity - with grapefruit, pine, resiny hops and some caramel - a solid Imperial IPA. Lagunitas is never one to disappoint!

A- Beautiful golden/golden hue, that pours great white lacing. S- great hop aroma that reminds me of Chico, CA, screams cascade and I am diggin this aroma. Fruity yet bitter, but the fruits come out a lot stronger. T- I love Lagunitas! I have yet to be disappointed by the brewery. Great hop flavors with a well-balanced malt structure. Tastes like Sierra Nevada on crack. This is a great example of a TRUE double IPA. Very floral, and I cant describe how well the malts are balance right now, but it is b-e-a-u-tiful. M- the hops come straight out in this one, hitting the palate perfectly. leaves the mouth with a dry feeling that is expected with the style, yet the malts mellow it out. everytime I take a sip, I want another one just to feel it again. D- Great beer to have a couple of but like all double IPAs, it should be consumed with caution due to the higher alcohol content. I love this beer to finish my night, but even better to start it off when drinking IPAs all night. Support this brewery, Lagunitas isn’t as pretentious as Stone, makes better beer and cost substantially less.

Bottle pours orange/gold with a white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, citrus, pine, and light florals. Flavor shows the same with defined notes of tangerine, candied orange, and lemongrass. Overall body is moderate and sticky with a somewhat aggresively bitter finish.

Bottle thanks to Phaleslu. Clear golden orange. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, lots of citrus. Taste is great, bitter but not one dimensional. Good malt balance, excellent beer.

Hazy golden beer with a frothy, white head. Hoppy/grassy aromas. Expecting something pretty awesome here. Tastes of fresh lawn clippings, pine needles, and some hints of assorted, tangy fruits. A bit flat, and one dimensional. Bitter hop finish. Delivers on what one expects from the style, but doesn’t do much to set itself apart from other beers in this style. Their regular IPA is a better brew.
