Deep golden orange color, with quite a bit of yeast floating around. Big tan head, very sticky. Aroma is sweet and caramel malty, with juicy citrus that tends towards sweet rather than sharp/bitter. As a fan of dry and bitter IPAs, this isn‘t looking good so far. Flavor confirms my suspicions, as this beer is kind of a gooey mess of crystal malt and candied fruit. Totally disregards the tenets of attenuation and drinkability. stacumz (1), , Washington, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Very rich, sweet IPA; almost Belgian sweet. Pours caramel amber with a candy aroma. A very satisfying buy! kidrobot (63), Sparta, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange amber body with a white head. Hop notes of pine, earth, and grass. Malty caramel body. Decent. BMan1113VR (2813), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2008 Pours with a large, off-white foamy head and good lacing. Clear, penny colored body. Aroma of pine, brown sugar, butter, dark fruits. Seems like this bottle might be aged a bit too much for a DIPA. Taste is a bit weak with crystal malt, raisins and hops. Watery mouthfeel and light bubbles. Good price though at 3.99 for a 22oz bottle. clasley (153), Arkansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2008 650 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper with a nice off-white head. Good pine and citrus in the nose. Solid malt base offset by a goodly amount of hop bitterness. Decent balance. Tad sweet in the finish with a hint of lingering bitterness. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 7, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Orange honey color. Clear. Quick bright head settles to dense and creamy, then dissipates to a sticky looking slick. Smell is supersweet sugar pine. Candy and hops. Super thick in the mouth. Sugar sweet at first to bitter hops to just bitter. Almost aspirin like, but not in a bad way. Im wondering how fresh this bottle is. Id better try a couple more later this week. Used to be my all time fav. 100th rating. j12601 (1215), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
