3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bright orange color with no real head. Sharp mouthfeel when cold. Light flavor, not a very strong IIPA. Bitter aftertaste. Pretty damn good, but more of what I would expect from a IPA not a double IPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear copper with a frothy white head. Nose is mostly malt, not the hop explosion I expected. Mildly piney, but still a bit mixed with cooked caramel. Good hop flavor off the bat, but kind of a thin feel in the mouth. Certainly a very bitter aftertaste.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wonderful piney grapefruit hop aroma, even on the second whiff, thick mouthfeel that tremendous high powered malt hop blend. not quite as wide and bold as Dogfishhead, but still a classic taste. falls apart a little at the end and becomes a little alcoholy, but still a great brew

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber. This pours a hazy amber orange color with a good sized off-white head that dropped down to a coat of bubbles after a few sips. It left good lacing around the glass as it was consumed. Hops fill the nose of this one as citrus and floral hops pretty much take over the smell. Notes of malt sweetness can also be detected through the hoppiness. The taste is lead with a bit of a sharp bitterness that is balanced of by the malty sweetness soon after. Notes of citrus fruits can be detected and there are also slight traces of alcohol. Mouthfeel is very full and creamy and it is very drinkable. Not as bitter and hoppy as most DIPA’s but a good and balanced beer none the less. Definitely give this one a shot.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy orange beer with a foamy off-white head. Nice complex aroma of flower hop, fruit and toffee. Flavor is nice with lots of fruit, oranges, flower and bitter hops and a long lasting finish with hints of citrus and a tone of alcohol. Yummi!

An unclear orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and grassy. The flavor is sweet hoppy with a dry hoppy end. Quite simple, but nice.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2004 Bottled. Orange-amber, big fluffy head. Orangey nose. Sweet and boldly malty with soft, but syrupy and fatty mouthfeel. Like sweetened, concentrated orange juice, but with very bitter finish. Too sticky.
