4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Khyber Pass. Tulip. Mostly clear light copper pour. Started with a large off-white head. Big pungent hop notes up front. Heady alcohol off the top but a smooth start and finish. Dark amber fruit. Apricot pits. Kumquats. Blood oranges. Pink grapefruit. Golden raisins. Lots of dark woody resin notes as well. Maple. Mahogany. Turpentine. Autumn leaves. Some sweet brown sugar in the mix, but mostly a sharp complex hop mix fills the middle. Good stuff.

This is my go to beer when I'm looking for a double ipa. The price is fair at $11.99 a 6 pack. (I hope those money grubbing folks at three floyds is reading this, I Am SICK of their 22 oz bottles for $10.99) The alcohol content sets the tone but is not overwhelming.
Nice sweet, fruity off the nose. Nice and hoppy. Carbonation is perfect. The alcohol is masked perfectly.
I replaced dreadnaught with this beer permanently due to monetary concerns.

Nice golden color with a light film of foam. Great aroma with citrus, pine and some florals. Big hop flavors with noticeable but good bitterness throughout. Some malt and alcohol too but the hops are the primary flavors. Very nice beer.

Super strong and tasty. The alcohol is very high in content, but it filters through your body very slowly. A great buzz.

Dark orange with two fingers of white head. A lot of lacing that is a bit surprising. Huge aromas of pine, candied orange, resin wafting up from the glass from afar. Taste is bitter orange upfront and piney resinous notes in support. I feel on the palate, the body and mouthfeel are too syrupy. Too much malt and too sweetness in the finish. Drinks like an even higher ABV. Still good for the price though.
