On cask at Max’s in Baltimore. Opaque tawny gold with one finger white head. Brilliant nose on this beer. Big citrus and tropical hop aromas. I can identify tangerine, grapefruit, mango and pineapple. Amarillo and Columbus hops? Great nose...unfortunately, the enjoyment ended there. I’m guessing this was the end of the cask or the cask had been mishandled. The beer had a cardboard and soapy flavor. Not enjoyable at all. Some sweet malt and some hop flavors, but they in the background compared to the soap. Bummer.

Golden amber color. Aroma is of hops. Maybe I am drinking an old bottle, but I do not get much of a taste of citrus. Instead I got a tolerable toffee taste, and also a hint of alcohol. In the end an unpleasant bitter taste lingered in my mouth.

Bottle. Punchy hop perfume aroma, good copper colour but not much head retention. Quite sweet up front then as the sweetness turns a bit stcky, then hop bitterness kicks in. Some sweeter citrus - orange and tangerine. Not bad at all

Bottle. Amber red color, small white head. Nose of grass, pine, and alcohol. Sharp hop bite and crisp carbonation with a sticky finish. A good, if unmemorable, strong IPA.

Great huge hop aroma with a quite a complex fruity aroma. The aroma on this is fantastic! The mouthfeel is quite full with a good supporting malt flavour but its ALL about the hops with this beer. Bitterness is definately there but the malt does balance it out. Great beer!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 SanfordBrewer (1206) - Sanford, Florida, USA - JAN 25, 2011
Lucent amber, thin but lasting beige head, sticky medium-full body, medium-high carbonation.
Aroma: bright resinous juicey piney hops, sweet bready malt.
Taste: lots of bitter resinous herbal piney hops, bready pale malt sweetness.
Very hop-focused, with good hop character. Not much toffee, caramel, or nutty malt flavor. Unbalanced toward bitter, but the hop profile is clean and bright, and the bitterness does not accumulate, or overwhelm an accustomed palate.
