4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 strap (262) - honolulu, Alabama, USA - JAN 23, 2011
golden pour. exceptional aroma...sweet citrus, pine, very nice. complex hoppy flavor but not too bitter. love the caramel malty backbone to this one. Lagunitas is quickly becoming one of my favorite brewers.

Bottle. Aromas full of flowers, malts and citrus hops. Taste is lots of citrus hop, some pine and more floral notes. Also getting plenty of caramel and a nice malt backbone to round this out. Wish I could buy it here!
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 davidm (1247) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 23, 2011
Bottle 330ml. Masterpiece. Aromas of caramel, grass, butter, a bit of citrus, and a touch of alcohol. Taste is bitter, with balancing maltiness, and very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Orange, with a frothy white head.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Nekronos (2627) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JAN 20, 2011

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Mjollnir (322) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JAN 20, 2011
355mL bottle. Pours hazy gold that clarifies with temperature and a wispy head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, berries, malt and alcohol. Pretty mild but harsh bitterness, medium sweetness, a little fruity. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, fairly sticky without much of a finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 scarletfire65 (420) - Rockaway Park, New York, USA - JAN 19, 2011
Crystal clear deep bronze color, with substantial head which leaves great intricate lacing. Aroma is citrus hops and malt. Flavor profile is hop forward, but the sweet maltiness was taken too far. It takes away from the bitterness and complexity of the hops. If I buy an IPA with 72 IBUs I want to be knocked over by the hops, not get a toothache from the sweetness.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Gfei (17) - Virginia, USA - JAN 16, 2011
Pours brilliantly clear deep golden to light copper with a sizable off-white head. Lots of floral hop aroma with a good amount of malty sweetness as well. Hops dominate, but a sweet caramel malt flavor provides a very nice background for this beer. Carbonation is moderate and creamy, and the hop bitterness leave no astringency in the finish. Excellent beer, will definitely be drinking more of this in the future.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hamfisted (53) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 11, 2011
A good super-hopped IPA, but not a great super-hopped IPA. This one dispenses of the subtleties and hits you with the hops. Which is enjoyable, but also leaves you glad you only had a small bottle of it.
