Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2008 1pt 6oz bottle from Weavers Discount Liquors, Elkton, MD...amber pour, white head...very floral aroma with a touch of orange (tangerine?)...flavor has a decent hoppy bitterness with a touch of alcohol...good stuff. jsh12bama (335), Alabama, USA Sep 24, 2008 Pours amber with thick off white head. This one is past it’s prime so the hops are mild and not that noticeable as expected. More malty flavor due to it’s age. Will try again. gameface23 (131), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA Sep 24, 2008 Pours clear golden with a small head. Dried apricot, honeyed-malt-sweetness in the aroma. Flavor is similar. Malt and hops intertwine. Nice hop presence. kpresley77 (133), Jackson, Georgia, USA Sep 24, 2008 Bottle pours clear golden with very little head, no lacing. Aroma is pine. First taste is sweet sugar but hops quickly take over. The finish is pine hops with little sweetness left on the lips. Not really a DIPA but good none the less. bconger (75), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Sep 21, 2008 Bottle. Honey-brown pour with large, thick, off-white head. Toffee and citrusy hops on the nose. Remarkably robust on the palate. I expected the complex hops bouquet, but I didn’t expect the magnificent, toasty malt. There are flavors uncharacteristic for the style - like cane syrup - but this is a remarkably good beer. Long, lingering bitter finish. popkow (107), New York, New York, USA Sep 20, 2008 Its a hop attack! If you are an IPA fan than this beer is for you plus you get the added benefit of the high ABV. Hops provide a clove, bitter, taste and finishes with a coated dark overtones of grain. HonkeyBra (1270), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 19, 2008 Pours amber with a small, white head. Strong hop aroma, with some caramel malt backing. But this beer is all about the hops. The flavor is very hoppy, backed with the smallest amount of caramel malt. Nice mouthfeel, long hoppy finish. Lingering bitterness. ditmier (1021), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 18, 2008 2008 Bottle - Pours lt amber with a small off white head, aroma is clove honey, dried fruit, sugar...flavour is less bitter than most Lagunitas, but still with a bite, heavy malt, flavour lasts for a while, decent...
