COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Pours light crystal clear copper color. Strong floral aroma. Sweet taste well balances by tons of sticky hops. Medium body and citrus aftertaste. Another very good Lagunitas brew.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan. Soapy, glass-lacing, off-white head. Steady hop aroma, solid west coast feel. Quite a resiny, syrupy mouthfeel. The hops really stick around in the aftertaste. Lots of orange flavor. Clean, doughy malt backbone covered in hops. Rather mellow mouthfeel. Pretty solid beer overall, maybe a little underwhelming.

Pours a dark straw color with a fluffy white head. Good lacing. Aroma is fresh floral and hoppy. When you first take a sip it is silky and hoppy. Medium mouth feel. The aroma is just amazing, this is one damn good beer! I don’t know what hops where used but they are awesome!

cmonster (611) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 22, 2010
Bottle served in a tulip. Pours near-clear polished oiled copper. Medium size off-white head. Good retention and lace. Nose is mostly malty, but also bitter. Caramel, nuts, bread, and resin. Very sweet flavor. Medium-full body, s-thick-y texture, mild carbonation, bitter finish but the big sweetness lingers as well. I would guess this is a Lagu brew, blind. Almost cloyingly sweet.

Strong but not over powering hop flavor with a smooth finish. Deep amber color and hoppy aroma.

Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours a golden orange with a lot of activity under a 1/4 inch head. Aroma is lemony grapefruit and pine. That carries into the flavor, which carries a nice bitterness throughout. Some overriped fruitiness in the mouthfeel, but I would characterize as an ipa not a double. A good ipa, better certainly than their regular one as this carries through on the promise of the aroma.

Stew41 (1413) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - DEC 11, 2010
Drinks much lighter (and indeed easier) for a DIPA. Hops are fresh on both the nose and palate, and there’s plenty of resin sweetness and malt power coming through the aromas as well. Holds the sweetness in the mouth but for the most part enough bitterness to cut through. Some aniseed to finish. Very solid.

12oz bottle pours clear copper with thick bubbly off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, citrus, and pine. Taste is very sweet, honey and citrus. Sticky syrup texture.
