Commercial Description:
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

12 oz bottle fro premier gourmet. pours clear orange with a small off white head. aromas are big sticky caramel malts. very deep and sweet with almost no hops. the same huge malts dominate the flavour. the hops come in for a long bitter finish. chewy mouthfeel and very big flavour. more of an american barleywine. id love to try a superfresh sample.

Poured clear orange with a two finger head and very good lacing. Strong citrus hops aromas that featured grape and grapefruit as well as some pine. Taste followed suit, with a bit of orange and caramel thrown in. Well carbonated, thick and full bodied, with a strong grapefruit aftertaste that didn’t thrill me. Otherwise, an excellent beer.

From a 22 oz bottle. Orange-brown pour with a one inch cream-colored head. Strong citrus aroma. Thick, slightly sweet body with a bitter, acidic aftertaste. A Decent effort.

From bottle... poured orange with small white head. Beautiful citrus hoppy aroma. Initial taste had very high alcohol prominence, but that faded as it went away to a bitter, grapefruit tase. Very warming finish. Pretty good.

Tasted on vacation in CA. Very crisp and clean tasting beer, light bitter aftertaste, well balanced with aroma, even a hint of orange in there somewhere. Easy to enjoy.

[1606-20080816] 12floz bottle. Grainy hops aroma has a bit of citrus peel. Clear, orange amber body with a quick creamy light tan head. Hoppy sweet yeast flavour has orange peel notes. Medium body. Nice hoppy brew.

Draft at Mad Mex, 8/10/08. Pours orange with a white head and good lacing. Nose is grapefruit, pine, sweet caramel and bubblegum. Taste is moderate bitter with grapefruit, pine and resiny, sugary caramel. Nice IIPA.
