COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Bottle at Block Party. Pours clear copper with a medium, white head. Bit hop aroma with sweet citrus and grass. Flavor has a nice, sweet malt profile followed by heavy, bitter hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with lip-smacking bitters and light, bready malts. Solid.

Copper, big citrus hop aroma, maybe some pine. Slight caramel sweetness with a huge hop presence, fairly bitter.

Bottle that Craig picked up for me from GBBF (cheers mate) consumed in a wet field at Fairports Cropredy Annual Reunion 12-07-10 The nose nose sweet malt & hops, taste is sweet, malty and with a good hoppy bite. Bi fresh green hops in mouth and surprisingly less bitter than expected though there is a noticeable furriness across the tongue. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

This poured a clear golden-orange, with some very fluffy foam, almost reminiscent of rising bread dough. Aroma has some floral hops, along with a faint sweetness. Up front, the floral and citrus-like hops are definitely more present, though they are dempered quite well by the sweet bready malts. Carbonation, while significant, is also very soft to the touch. All in all, this is actually an extremely well balanced double ipa. A sessionable double ipa that will not ruin your palate.

OK this is a fat-ass IPA. Dark blonde and clear with a pale tan dense cap. Fresh citrus aroma, candy fruit. Taste sweet candy fruit, apricot and lemon. Dense sweetness, lingering palate is very solid. Finish dry grassy hops.

Bottle. Pours orange, white head. Caramel maslt and citrus hop notes in the aroma. Sweet. Add some real bitterness in the end and you get the taste. Simple and inviting.

Spab (1118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 9, 2010
330 ml bottle from Premier Wine & Spirits (Halifax). Pours a fairly clear rusty orange with a small white head. Strong caramel malt backbone with citrus and herbal hops. Taste is quite malty with decent citric/herbal/piney hopping. Medium body. Somewhat dry, moderately bitter finish. Fairly easy drinking for a DIPA. Nice.
