May 24, 2008 A golden/copper clear beer with a small white head that disappears. Aroma is great, citrusy (grapefruit) and floral hops. The taste is a bit thin, as is the mouthfeel, not as hoppy or bitter as I would like.

May 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a medium white head. Flowery, fruity, hoppy aroma with notes of exotic fruit, grass, pine, and grapefruit. Flavour is the same but has a good malty base that adds toffee and caramel. Long bitter flavour.

May 24, 2008 Draught: Beautiful creamy head atop a smoky peach color. Unbelievable aroma! Peaches and pine and maybe a little orange citrus. Very floral as well. Flavor is fruity orange but not oversweet. Nice oily texture coats the entire mouth. Peachy finish stretches out and does not want to let go. Wonderful double.

May 23, 2008 Bomber w/ Simon. This was overwhelming overshadowed by the previous M.S. IPA we just had. Nicely balanced - caramel malts mix nicely w/ the mild hop profile. Really not all that bitter or in your face...In comparison to what’s out there, this is mellow, drinkable, and overall good - but nothing great.

May 23, 2008 Updated: May 4, 2009I have noticed, for the most part, Lagunitas offers some real nice big beers for less than some of their competitors. No different here. Pours a clear orange color with a nice initial sticky head and pretty good retention. Aroma is mostly floral grapefruit hops but there’s also some candy malts. The flavor consists of a lot of citrus grapefruit hops, especially up front, then mellows a bit with a lesser sweet malt profile. Finishes a bit bitter and dry. They are able to provide a lot of flavor with a relatively low abv too. And again, there’s real good value here. I’ll be getting this again.
