KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark May 22, 2008 Clear reddish amber with large off white head. Sweet and hoppy aroma with notes of caramel, pine and grapefruits. Flavor is sweet with plenty of hops, caramel and grapefuit notes. Good mouthfeel and a solid bitter finish. Nice. chrisafari (100), Orange, California, USA May 21, 2008 Pours amber brown and clear with a cream colored head. Nutty and hoppy aroma. Super-hoppy and bitter taste with hints of nuts and carmel. Finishes with a kick of spicy hops at the back of the throat. Overall, a good IPA but the palate lacks to the smoothness of other IPAs. Surly (19), Michigan, USA May 19, 2008 Pours a hazy amber with bubbly carbination. 2 fingers rich cream head. Moderate lacing. Strong hop aroma, with grapefruit, citrus and malt. Wonderfully bitter up front followed by nice warm alcohol. Taste lingers quite awhile on the tongue but is fairly short elsewhere.

The first brew of my summer vacation. Nose is heavy whole hops with a carmelized malt backup. Body is medium and well toned. It is long lasting and crisp with citrus undertones. Malts and hops are balanced and that ssayin something since there is so much of both. A very easy drinking brew at 11PM. Lets see what the next two and a half weeks bring me for new beers.
