Drank from a 12 oz. lightly orange and clear. It is really bitter and hoppy. It’s a pretty good IPA.

12oz in mug. Brilliant amber with minimal off-white head. Enormous mango, kumquat, and bergamot aroma. Tangy and juicy, brash but flawless. Clean and balanced, intoxicating yet memorable. America, fuck yeah!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 arone12 (703) - Maryland, USA - MAY 3, 2010
Pours a dark golden brown color with a white head. Immeduately the smell of pine trees hits my nostrils and I am in heaven. Taste is bitter and heavily carbonated. Finish is even more bitterness.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mcberko (2196) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 1, 2010
12 oz. bottle, pours hazy golden with a white head. Grassy hops, pine and grapefruit on the nose. Much more hoppy than the single IPA, with less of a malt backbone - just the way I like IPAs. Beautiful body, albeit a tad thin - however, the palate is wonderful: pine hops, grapefruits, some citrus, good astringency. Great double IPA.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Guerde (960) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - MAY 1, 2010
(bottle) Pours a clear light amber with a large white head that retains well and leaves good lacing. Aroma is full of tangelo, Tang powder, crushed Daily Cs, and maybe a bit of cracked black pepper as well. Citrus scents in many forms exhibited here, but they all retain that candy-like quality. Taste is quite sweet with plenty of citrus, orange, tangelo, and a slight caramel undertone before rounding out into a fair dose of bitter grapefruit pith. Not as potent as the aroma, and as it warms the alcohol turns up the heat and clashes with the other flavors. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is spot-on. A decent beer.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 CanIHave4Beers (2002) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - APR 29, 2010
Pours a hazy golden with a small but well retained head with some good lace. The aroma is grapefruit, citrus rind, some caramel and lots of nice fresh hops. The flavor is grapefruit and mango primarily, and generally it’s a pretty damned fruity bbeer with some mild caramel like maltiness shining through.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JMerritt (1568) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - APR 28, 2010
Sampled at the 2010 Peoria Int’l Beer Festival. Medium golden in color, clear, with a small white head. Big apricot and grapefruit nose with a sprinkling of black pepper and a little musty body odor (?). Moderately high bitterness with some mildly sweet caramel and toffee notes. Slightly thin mouthfeel for such a sticky, resiny IPA. Overall, definitely tasty and dangerously drinkable.
