COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Copper, amber colored brew. Nice hopped aroma. Flavor is also very hoppy. Some Citrus and pine, very drinkable. Not that intense as I expected. Still very enjoyable.

Rodman’s in DC. Smells like all Lagunitas beers: like wet dog. Nice head and a dark gold body. Taste is citrus/cereal with a hoppy finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a decent, pillowy, clingy, white head that lasts. Taste is of malt, caramel, citrus, hops and some pine. A little dry and bitter. Similar aroma. Creamy body. Well balanced. Rather smooth and easy to drink. An enjoyable beer that is worth picking up again.

Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in a pub glass. The beer pours a burnished deep golden color, with a small-but-thick white head. The nose gives some citrusy hop notes, as well as some more danky Simcoe-like aromas. There is also some strong malt notes, perhaps high crystal, which counter the hops. The palate is floral up front, again showing some citus notes, malt-driven in the middle, and then assertively bitter in the swallow and finish. A slight fruit character is noticeable from the yeast, but it is fairly restrained, and only seems to compliment the rest of the beer’s flavors. Overall, nicely done.

Luxurious clear amber color with generous white head. Beautiful. Nose is mixed citrus and pine, with a clean/sterile component that is nice. Palate is assertively piney and dry, with citrusy hops and mild toasty malt in the background. Alcohol is apparent. Finish is quite long. For the style this is a very, very good beer but a little too much pine & alcohol warmth for my preference, as it interferes some with the drinkability for me.

Nice copper, reddish color. The aroma and flavor are over the regular IPA, it is noticeably more bitter, with more citrus and piney notes.

Pours light copper with white head and good lacing. Aroma is of hops and caramel. Excellent hop and sweet citrus flavor nicely balanced with malt. Not as bitter as the commercial description may lead you to believe, but definitely a very good beer.

Hazy amber in color with a slight head that quickly disapears. Aroma of citrus, caramel and hops. Flavor is pine needles with a touch of citrus and finishes long with the hops
