Extremely over hopped, and not in a good way. Matches your Dogfish Head in the extreme hop category, but it was so overpowering that that the subtletry is gone. A little chewy malt, that if you let it sit on your mouth a while an let the hops wash over, you can get. Not thin on the tongue, bridging on chewy. Golden orange/yellow color when poured. Little fizzy, but since this is not a winter beer, it was not what I wanted after-all, I’ll re-visit this after the second bottle, but style-wise, as the D-IPA, it is at least representative. The flavor is sweet hoppy with a dry hoppy end. Quite simple, but nice. Kind of lacking. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2007 Bottle, 22oz. (RBNAG 07) An orange-golden, slightly hazy beer, poured with an off-white head. Sweetish nose with all the joys of American hops dominating. The same goes for the flavor, lots of pine, resin, citrus and fruityness, as well as a lot of sweetness, but far from overpowering the hops. Full body, and so hoppy it almost feels a bit astringent in the mouth. A lovely beer, but maybe a bit too hoppy, meaning that it is more a hop juice than a beer.
