fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Nov 11, 2007 Bottle. Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy / creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy hoppy, grass, pine, citrus, light to moderate malty, caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (271007) HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Nov 8, 2007 Pillowy whitehead that stands the test of time. Lovely lace and a big floral hop aroma. In a nutshell a classic California hoppy IPA that is very resinous. The palate is dry and bitter with tropical fruit and orange scented hops. The finish is long and hoppy with a dash of malt to keep this beer honest. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Nov 8, 2007 Once again, this style fails to appease me. I was dissapointed because Lagunitas classic IPA is one of the best. However, this one, with only hints of the original, is overpowered by the grapefruity hops. If you like a sour and bitter ale, this is for you. Sigmund (2197), Hafrsfjord, Norway Nov 7, 2007 Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. ABV was 7.5%. Amber to orange colour, decent head. Nice hoppy aroma, not as strong as expected. Distinctly hoppy flavour throughout, but not really that extreme. Good beer. Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Nov 6, 2007 Pours a hazy large particulated amber colour with a large rocky-frothy off white head. Aroma is fruity, with lots of hops. Initial taste is soft fruity and sweet malts. Mouthfeel is a soft carbonation. Moving into a bitter hop that coats the entire palate. Light red berried candy also lingers in the background palate. Head retention is good and the lacing the glass looks absolutely excellent, completely slapped and pasted over. Palate duration is also good. Overall enjoyable. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Nov 6, 2007 66 cl bottle. Copper color, off-white head. Hops and fruit. Very sweet. (RBNAG’07 in Grimstad Nov. 3th.) nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 6, 2007 The aroma is super hoppy with pine and a biscuit maltiness. The appearance is amber with a foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma. It’s rather bitter. The palate is smooth. Overall this is a good beer but not the best IIPA that I have had. larsga (2937), Oslo, Norway Nov 5, 2007 Small white head. Hazy orange body with yeast particles. Deep sweet firm straw and malt aroma with fruity medicinal notes. Honeyish. Dry sweetish straw and malts taste with medicinal notes. Clean, sharp mouthfeel. Very nice! (0.66l bottle at RBNAG’07.)
