Commercial Description:
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Great color in the glass with nice head retention. Nose is subdued but present. Well balanced between malt and hop. Nice every day I.P.A.

Aroma of spiced hops. Palate is thin. Little or no head. What I like about this beer is its fairly clean, and has a solid citrus-herbal hop presence. But what I don’t like is the body is a little watery, and the finish seems off to me. Its almost a weak sweetness/bitterness that reminds me of eating an orange after brushing my teeth. I’ve noticed this is some microbrew IPAs. I would like the beer to be a little more solid, with better body, especially if its supposed to be an IIPA. But overall, I find it enjoyable and pretty tasty.

Had this beer on 7/27/2004. Aroma is fresh and full of hops. Color is a deep orange/gold with fair carbonation and a nice tight head. Taste is bitter, sweet and almost fruity. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a smooth feel and a mild bite. Finish comes in with a sweet malt flavor that has a fruity flavor to it. Then a sharp bitterness with a mild hop flavor floats in on the end. As you drink a bit more of it the fruit flavor fades and the bitterness seems to build. Well balanced but it needs a bit more hop flavor.

Lots of fruit that just pops out at you. I think it could be a little bit more balanced flavor wise, but my buddy who does not drink IPA’s loved it, so go figure. Overall a great so-cal IPA with lots of hops and lots of citrus flavors. Nice change-up if your used to drinking Stone or Bear Republic.

Grapefruit aroma and taste to start, but ends with nice hop bitterness. Medium body. Copper color and clear.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy coppery orange with a thick white head. Excellent lacing on the glass. Extreme floral notes with a bit of citrus. The flavor was initially bitter, but with a nice malt balance. Plenty of citrus in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel. Very well done brew.

Pours a hazy, straw color into the tulip with a two inch white head. A sticky lace coated the glass. The scent was flowery hops, citrus and spice. A very bitter beer with a harsh play on the palate.

Well done IPA, more like a 1 1/2 IPA. Sweetness, sourness, and bite are all there. Just noticed this is classified as a double IPA, which is probably more appropriate. Nice.
