fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 27, 2007 NIce and overly hoppy. Just like a double IPA should be. Grapefruit and caramel. juiceisloose (640), Windermere, Florida, USA Sep 23, 2007 Pours a coppery orange color with a thin wispy white head. The aroma is of piney hops, citrus fruits, grapefruit, and some malts. The hops hit you first, but not overpowering and are followed with a slightly sweet malt backbone. There was a good amount of grapefruit flavor, some floral notes, and malt sweetness. There wasn’t as much hops as I would of thought, but it was still good. It was medium to full bodied with a hop bitterness finish to it. Pretty solid for an IPA, but not enough hops to be a double. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Sep 23, 2007 Copper beer with a frothy off-white head that leaves some lacing. Big American hop aroma, with citrus, pine, pineapple, peach and roses. The little malt sweetness is quickly taken over by intense hop flavour, and bitterness, but the sweetness is definitely there. A think mouthfeel that is a bit overdone for my liking. djtimeless (170), Florida, USA Sep 22, 2007 Updated: Aug 16, 2009Very tasty IPA. Pours out dark amber. Very hoppy with a smooth finish. Tasty beer. BrewDad (2363), Olympia, Washington, USA Sep 22, 2007 22oz Bomber
Deep golden color with a thin head. This had a strong hops aroma from the start. Loved the flavor and with a strong hops presnece. The beer was deep in flavor and the malts used also came through which can be hard for strong IPA’s Has some dry after affects but this was good and very tasty. Great Beer. SoLan (1369), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 17, 2007 Clear amber/bronze and 3cm of dense off white foam that settles slowly to a thin layer. Aroma of resinous, piney, herbal, and lightly citrusy hops with some lightly sweet malt in the background. Flavor has clear grapefruit, adds some vegetation, floral notes, and more sweetness. Medium/full body, balanced carbonation, lightly resinous. Solid. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 16, 2007 From the bomber ... Pleasantly orange, quietly active wtih a nice solid poofy head of lacey foam. The aroma is beautiful ... woodsy, piney, airy, and citricly fruity. From the first sip, my tummy is a happy tummy ... warming and smooth, this carries a rich resiny hop character. The bitter finish is just right, but this could do with a tad more balance. (#3093, 9/16/2007) nicolascage (105), Copenhagen (Virum), Denmark Sep 14, 2007 Bottle. Mild for a double IPA. very well balanced hop / malt profile. considerable hop profile but still reasonable easy drinkable. very nice.
