Commercial Description:
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Syrupy pine, caramel, citrusy. Pours pale amber with a white head. Caramel, citrus hops, some pine resins, a very spicy character peppery, very smooth. Not so hoppy after having the Hop Stoopid, but its still good.

Pours an orange cloudy color, with a nice white head. Aroma was hoppy with some citrus and spice, not too strong. Flavor was pretty nice and smooth for an IPA, a little bitter, but not too much. I didn’t find this to be really special, but it’s still a good beer.

Haven’t had a bottle of these in years. My tasting notes are full of accolades, though. I wrote, "singular in body, flavor, nose, and appearance this IPA satisfies all the senses, the palate, the brain, and the mind." Whoa! How many did I drink? Ahhh, but that was in the good old days before my senses were jaded by gigahop assaults. Now that my hop horizons have expanded, I’ll have to revisit this one. Tough competition out there!

Bottle. So, here we have a west coast IIPA with a trash-talking label. I’m sold. Pours murky, cloudy orange with a fluffy white head. The aroma is a let down for this style. Mostly lemon, hard candies, and herbal notes are detected. The mouth is fairly thick and some bitterness comes through in the way of lemon zest. This is quite a malty IIPA. There is no freshness date on the bottle, which really annoys the piss out of me, but it doesn’t seem to have that aged hop flavor. Some lingering zesty dryness sticks around with a bit of sweet orange and caramel. Yea, it’s a good brew and I will happily quaff the rest of the bomber, but for a west coast IIPA. . .

Bomber from Greenlife. Okay, dudes, thank you for this blessing. $3.69 a bomber, Hell yeah. Pours a barley hazy copper with a good, fluffy white head. The aroma? Loads of hops. Grapefruit, herbs, bitterness. . .yeah. Good stuff. This is nicely clean and heavily bitter and zesty. Just amazing for the price. Lots of hop qualities are imparted in the flavor with suggestions of green tea, lemons, grapefruit, wood. Man. $3.69? Excellent. It stands among many that are twice the cost.

Bottle. Pours copper orange with a fairly thick head. Retention is decent. Smells like cane sugar, orange peel, and grapefruit, which is also pretty much how it tastes. While not too complex, the flavor is strong, clean, and appropriately hoppy. All in all a good beer, if not quite as interesting or satifying as a Stone brew.

Bottle. Pours copper with two finger head - good retention with lacing all around the sides. Aroma is apricot, sticy caramel malt, berries, pineapple, light pine scents and alcohol. Flavor is slightly sweet almost syrupy- strawberry, pine. Some bitterness in the back and sides of the mouth. Lingering pine resin hoppy aftertaste. Palate is round, creamy maltiness.

22 oz bottle, no freshness date.

Clear amber with tight, sticky, tan head. Thick lace.

Grapefruit hops and caramel aroma.

Flavor mirors aroma, light citrus, light pine, sweet caramel.

Nicely balanced, but I expected more, especialy after the description.

Golder orange with a decent white head. Smells nice a hppy and with a slight caramel undertone. Has a nicey piney, citrus, grassy hop bite. Slight sweet malt but this beer is mainly hops. It’s actually a good mix with the hop. The malt is there, but not overly sweet or noticeable compared to the hops. So, if you like a good amount of hops and lower malt ratio for an "IIPA" then this might be a good choice.
