COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Tap. Strong citrus hops. Apparent alcohol. Mildly astringent aftertaste. This was pretty good, though the lasting aftertaste was a bit too much. Very strong.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

The beer has a clear golden yellow color. The foam is white with small bubbles. The foam disappears at a leisurely pace, leaving little trace. Aromas of hops, tropical fruit. There are some peach, orange and little flowers. Some sweet notes of syrup. The flavors of the hops, and very little malt. Then comes the passion fruit and pineapple. After that, a fine hops bomb again. Followed by sweet peach, some citrus, orange, a little salt, syrup and pine in the back. Medium body. Moderate carbonated. A little dry and sweet, fresh with just enough bitterness.

Dark orange body, with a big active white head on the pour. Nice blend on the nose, of grass, citrus and caramel malts. Mouthfeel is quite velvety, almost like a cask conditioned beer, only still retaining a bit of a sharp edge. Sweet peach dominates the tastes for me. There is also some nice caramel malts. Definitely can tell this is an Imperial, and not a stereotypical citrus juice bomb IPA. I love this beer.

Nice and fresh hops on this golden color ale with a major foamy white head. Perfect balance between malt sweetness and hops. Good stuff.

6-pack from the LCBO. Pours a clean amber colour with a big warm cap, great retention and creamy-foamy lacing. Grassy hop aromas with citrus over caramel malts. Sweet malty taste with lots of herbal notes. This Imperial IPA goes down nicely, but it is a little rich in the middle. Thankfully, the finish is lightly dry and helps this.

I drank this tonight and can’t believe I haven’t had it before. Beer is a smart simple brew, with a deep and solid malt bitll that allows for a solid well thought out hops profile. It’s a strong hop beer that is malt forward. Pleasant all the way though.

Refreshing IPA for being a double. Light citrus notes and semi dry finish make this one i will definitely get again

Tasted at our DIPA shootout. This beer won our shootout. Grapefruit/tropical aroma, excellent fruit additions, well-integrated bitterness, slightly sweet, syrupy mouth feel.
