4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Amber beauty with a soft quickly dissipating big bubble one-finger head. Rich hops aroma with a touch of warm brown sugar smell in there - no fuel smell despite a nice heat-rich 8+ abv. Rich hoppy flavor without a ton of IBU smack in the mouth. Iím tasting it right now next to Dogfish 90, and itís less bitter than DF90 as well as richer in flavor. Iím overall very pleased with this double IPA as itís got notes of pine, sugar, oak, and honey in the mouth. The finish is much smoother than most IPAís and this beer has made my top 20 for sure.

Poured almost two fingers of head on a clear, bubbly medium straw colored body. Low head retention though.
The smell is amazing. Bright lemon and grapefruit in a big pine forest. Love it.
The taste is nice. Mild lemon bitterness with a stronger pine bitter. Quite a step down from where the smell led me.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It smells incredible, it tastes good.

Bottle 5/19/13. Clear, amber color. Thick head. Toasty malt nose with piney notes. Very smooth mouthfeel. Finishes with a gentle hop bitterness, alcoholic viscosity, and fizz on the tip of the tongue.

Bottle pour: dark, mildly cloudy amber. Very fresh aroma of hops and pine trees. Medium bitterness, but really smooth all around with very dynamic flavor points. Excellent, one of the best bottles Iíve had in a while.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
@CBC13, on tap.
Clean, clear orange color, thin white foam head.
Served a bit too cold.
Nose and mouth are not intense.
Itís really disappointing how neutral this beer is. Maybe because of low temperature.
I must re-taste it ASAP.
