3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pous a clear medium copper with a one finger white head that fades away rather quickly leaving a thin cap and a little bit of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Aroma has the typical Lagunitas tropical fruit character. A touch of pine with a backing of bread and caramel albeit on the light side. Hops really dominate.
The passionfruit and pine carried over into the flavor with Tons of tropical fruit up front. This is followed by a little bit of yeasty banana and a flash of ethanol. Bitterness is moderate to high leading to a dry, almost chalky, mouthfeel. Not much malt in the flavor maybe just a touch of bread. The body is a little bit thin which aids drinkability but somewhat subtracts from the overall experience.
Overall, this is an ok beer but middle of the road as far as IIPA’s go. The body is a little too dry and this isn’t too much different from their standard IPA. Hop Stoopid is better and I probably won’t seek this one out again.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber. Pours a golden amber with white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma and taste of pine, grass, grapefruit, white bread, and caramel. Somewhat bitter. Less hoppy, more malty. Good finish of caramel malt and earthy hops. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Not bad, just nothing special. Great for the price though.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Could not resist to put my teeth in this DIPA, especially since Lagunitas IPA is world class.
The beer has a very fine copper color and relinquishes some residue on the glass. The aroma is wonderfully strong. The taste is pretty easy for being an American "hop bomb". A very easy to drink DIPA. The medium bitterness is perfect and the beer would also have been if it were not for the chemical off-taste in the finish.

3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pale gold, crystal clear, little lace, persistent head.
Full body, smooth, well carbonated, just enough alcohol heat, very flavorful, long palate.
Intensely bittersweet, bright acidity.
Deliciously hoppy, honeyed malt, a great beer.

From bottle in Helsinki leijuva lahna bar. Pours light amber/golden orange colour. Thin white head that disappears after 5 min. Medium carbonation, just how I like.little lacing. Grassy/pine/honey aroma. Peach sweetness on the palate that is well balanced, to finish with some powerful resinous new world hop flavours and bitterness. Double IPA style. Really good beer to enjoy cold when really thirsty. Mouthfeel is very enjoyable too!
