COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Botte @Lagunitas tasting at Artisan Wine Depot. Pours clear light amber with a small white head that dissipates with some lacing. Aroma is surprisingly malty with forward notes of caramel and bread with a pine/citrus backing. Flavor is about the same, medium to quite sweet, light to medium bitter and a bit grassy on the finish. Way to malty for me.

Bottle. Pours a translucent, dull orange with soapy white head. Aroma is grass, hay, caramel, and some resinous hops. Taste is lightly sweet, quite bitter. Hides the alcohol well. This is and will continue to be a staple beer I keep going back to.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours clear amber, two finger off white head. decent lacing with some retention. Aroma of pine and herbs. Taste is on the sweet side balanced with earthy bitterness. Full bodied, lively carbonation, sticky mouth feel. Finishes bitter sweet with tasting notes of grass, herbs, pine, cantaloupe, caramel and alcohol. Not as good as expected but not bad.

Pours a hazy amber with a frothy average white head. Earthy aroma heavy on the hops with some citrus. Flavour wasn’t as hoppy as I expected -- bitter, spicy and a bit malty. I found I could taste the alcohol a bit too much. May have been served a little too warm.

Flaske fra systembolaget. Noe uklar gylden farge. Moderat karbonert med hvit skumtopp. Smaker grapefrukt, noe furunål, noe karamell. Merker lite til alkoholen. Ganske god

When first poured and tasted a strong bitter hop flavor is overwhelmingly present. After it has warmed for a bit a more balanced sweet melon and hop flavor is present.

Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Even with 72 ibu, didn’t feel it was too bitter. Extra alcohol is noticeable in a good way. More of a sip and enjoy IPA rather than one you chug. Very solid IPA.

Old rating. Pretty standard Cali DIPA. Big caramel, biscuit body, huge bitter hop crunch. Piney.

Bottle. Golden, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness, piney - light grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish flavor, light caramel and tropical fruitiness, some piney hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel, some piney - light citrus hoppyness, faint alcohol. Nice aroma but flavor/finish lacks bitterness and body. OK DIPA but nothing special.

Keg at the Hare and Billet, Blackheath. Amber pour with a beige head. Tangerine and tropical fruit aroma. Mango, citrus and pear flavour. Boozy mouthfeel. Sweet, fruity finish. Tasty.
