Nov 8, 2005 (Bottle 65 cl) Beautiful, clear amber with a creamy, thick head leaving some lacework. Distinct aroma hops in the nose. Flavour of sweet caramel malt with a very solid, hoppy finish. A very typical Double IPA with a routinely touch. 221005

Oct 21, 2004 Updated: Dec 27, 2004Bottled. Orange-amber, big fluffy head. Orangey nose. Sweet and boldly malty with soft, but syrupy and fatty mouthfeel. Like sweetened, concentrated orange juice, but with very bitter finish. Too sticky.

May 4, 2008 22 fl oz bottle, comes as Lagunitas Limited Release IPA Maximus Ale. Pours hazy orange with a huge off-white head. Pinewood needle aroma, dry and quite inviting. Flavour is light acidic pine wood - dry wooden hops note following. Mild sweet caramel malt base appears before the finish. Dry wooden finish. Nice one! Goes great with barbeque.

Aroma is moderate to light heavy hoppy, grass, pine, citrus, light to moderate malty, caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Feb 9, 2008 Bottle, 7.5%. Nice, sweet and caramelly hop aroma. Clear copper colour, small white head. The flavour is quite sweet, caramelly. Grassy from the hops with a good, cleansing bitterness. The finish has a little teaish hoppiness along with a good alcohol note. Quite flavourful but still well-balanced.
