At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

This is one of the best IPA's around. Nice hoppy flavor! Balance between hops and malts just right. Bitter yet floral. This one is BOLD!

Hazy copper colour with a nice light beige head. Aroma of malt and alcohol with a sharp pine scent. Flavor reveals the similar qualities to the aroma, just a bit more subdued, the malts show up much more in the flavor. Lingering hop flavor. Tasty.

12 oz bottle pours reddish amber with some white head into a tulip. Aroma of an extra load of the typical Lagunitas hop-bomb grapefruit, caramel malts, floral/honey sweetness, bit of pine. Taste is essentially the same as the nose: caramel malts and pine/grapefruit, bit of breadiness, finishing with some floral sweetness and an ever so slight touch of alcohol. Medium to full bodied with light to medium carbonation and a soft, puffy mouthfeel. Good stuff.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2009 Pleasant surprise all-around here. Beautiful golden red color with a fast head. Sweet floral aroma of tart cherries, apple, orange. Sweet crisp greeting with some expected citrus, barely noticeable alcohol, and bitter but relatively clean aftertaste.

big nose on this.... very sweet with a side of hops. pour is brown golden with a bubbly head that retains fairly well and laces the glass. The front end on this is sweet, and the sweetness is immediately thinned out by the perfect shot of hops. medium big body and really a not too overpowering aftertaste. I could say that the commercial deScription makes sense because it is awfully similar to the regular IPA, but bigger. and thats why i gotta say I like it that much more because of it. Beautiful Job. Little too sweet, but easily one of my favorites. If you could find the medium of this and Stoneís Ruination, Iíd be all over it.

Had this out of a bottle at fermentation lounge in Tallahassee. Great citrus hop aroma with very malty strong ale type flavor. Good beer.

Poured from a 750 cc bottle. Pours clear orange with a generous yellow head. Nose is citrus, pine, caramel, honey, orange peel, and coriander. Flavour is light hoppy bitterness with sweet malts and tropical fruit (eg pineapple). Great easy drinking IPA perfect for a summer patio.

Pours an orange cloudy color, with a nice white head. Aroma was hoppy with some citrus and spice, not too strong. Flavor was pretty nice and smooth for an IPA, a little bitter, but not too much. I didnít find this to be really special, but itís still a good beer.

Was pysched that Lagunitas beers finally showed up in Georgia. Kind of a let-down, though. Heavy hop aroma with orange, resin. Creamy head that mostly lasted. Expected much more hoppiness as this is 72 IBUís. This was more like a West Coast IPA, rather than a DIPA. The palate was surprisingly soft.
