At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Pours a mostly transparent orange, with a good amount of dense yellowish foam. Aroma is grassy and hoppy, a bit of citrus fruit. Taste is a bit piney and sweet, noticable alcohol burn, but not as strong on the hops as I was expecting.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2014 Very very hoppy. Maybe a bit too much. Still, it is a great IPA, specially when one is thirsty.Rerate added comments : dark golden/copper colour with a hoppy/sweet smell. The taste is of course very hoppy but still great. The palate too, with slightly bitter and sweet aftertaste (but not too much). Still great IPA, no changes on the final score. Re re rate: I feel some kind ofcaramel in the taste that makes me consist to down grade it. Will keep as it is for now but we see next time. ..

Poured from the bottle into a snifter. Pours a nice orange color with a small white head. Aroma consists of pine, resin, and citrus. Taste is much the same with an emphasis on the resin hops. Medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a slight sticky mouth feel. Very good beer.

VERY fruity IPA. I don't know what the hops variety is but wow what a distinct flavor. Very dry and bitter but a nice clean finish. I really like the IPA. It's a little different than most but its a nice change.

Orange body with a large, light orange head. Flavor is intensely hoppy with a nice hint of sweet caramel malt. Nice, fruity aroma is not overwhelmed by the intense hops experienced in the taste.

Found a bottle in the grocery store singles section. Nice amber with orange hues. Good hop nose. Nice sweetness quickly tempered and beat down with a hop awesomeness. Iím so glad I picked this up.

On cask at Maxís in Baltimore. Opaque tawny gold with one finger white head. Brilliant nose on this beer. Big citrus and tropical hop aromas. I can identify tangerine, grapefruit, mango and pineapple. Amarillo and Columbus hops? Great nose...unfortunately, the enjoyment ended there. Iím guessing this was the end of the cask or the cask had been mishandled. The beer had a cardboard and soapy flavor. Not enjoyable at all. Some sweet malt and some hop flavors, but they in the background compared to the soap. Bummer.

Pours cloudy burnt orange with small creamy head. Aroma is very malty sweet- sort of honey like- plus woody, resinous hops. Flavor is very malty, woody, and syrupy sweet like apricot as well as citrusy orange. Ends with sappy, woody bitterness and smooth, creamy palate. Not my favorite type of hopping, but good nonetheless....not sure if the hopping matched the malt increase for this IIPA tho.
