COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

A nice amber color with a one finger head. Aroma is totally citrus, hops, pine and a nice slight sweetness. Taste is citrus, piney with a small sweet finish. A good one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2014 Almost no head; golden orange in the glass. Smell is delicious -- apple turnovers, candied fruit, a little grass, some citrus. Taste is crisp, bready, cooked pastry dough, tangy and slightly dry on the finish. Really good.

Aroma - Floral hops Appearance - Clear medium amber, very light head Taste - Medium malt and hops. Smooth but not light Palate - Medium body; slight bitter finish Overall - Not quite as smooth and as malty as most Imperial IPAs, but smoother and lighter than a typical IPA. Could get into trouble with this one...

barely qualifying as a double, and therefore a very drinkable brew. strong hops nose not much body, long bitter tail.

Pours clear golden with a small head. Dried apricot, honeyed-malt-sweetness in the aroma. Flavor is similar. Malt and hops intertwine. Nice hop presence.

Bomber. Pours a hazy copper with a thick, creamy off-white head that last and laces the glass. Aroma is a blend of citrus, pine and resiny, with a hint of malty sweetness. Palate is medium, carbonation is medium, with very fine bubbles adding a light prickly sensation. Flavor is a very good balance of hoppiness and malty sweetness. For an imperial, you could complain that its not hoppy enough, but I find the balance very pleasing, much like that of DFHs 90 minute IPA. Good hoppiness, but not overly bitter or astringent. Overall, a very enjoyable beer, one of the better ones Ive had from Lagunitas. Definitely recommend.

Nice to see this one in six packs now. Great aroma. Along with Victory Hop Wallop, this is one of the best DIPA aromas Ive smelled from the bottle. Smells like lots of Centennial hops to me. Very light, golden color. Great SRM for a DIPA. A slight bit more heavy in the mouthfeel than I would want for a full pint. Just a little more attenuation would make this closer to perfect. good 8oz pour of this is excellent. A very nice brew.

only moderately hoppy compared with other IPAs Ive had as of late. flavors of alchohol and light malt - a fairly robust beer. floral nose. balanced on the dry side. good beer.

pours light amber with a white head. aroma is sub par.. tastes piney, citrusy, pretty much like a regular IPA but a little stronger. I can think of many other ipas id rather have, but this is still pretty good. far from the "raging mouthfull of hops" that it claims

Citrusy nose with nice hoppy aromas. Nice mouthfeel with a good hoppy flavors of citrus, grapefruit, grass, resin and herbs. Lovin it! :)
