COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Pours an almost clear amber with whiteish head. Big, tropical fruit hoppiness with mangoes, preserved peaches and some pine cones. Slightly caramelly maltiness. Juicy aroma. The palate is medium+ bodied with some sweetness and a nice kick of bitterness on the finish. Pretty well balanced for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 ml bottle from a six pack bought at the LCBO.

Appearance: Pours a gleaming copper colour with fingers of pillowy white head. Average retention and tons of lacing.

Aroma: Pine, peach and citrus.

Flavours: Pine, peach and citrus.

Mouthfeel: Thick and coating.

Overall: Gorgeous peach aroma and flavour in this one. One of the best IPAs Iíve had in a long while.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2014 Very citrusy aroma with a bready malt backbone. Light copper pour. Lemony citrus, orange rind flavor. Strong bitter in the back of the throat. Long finish Not bad but honestly way over-rated. Theres not much body or depth. Really One dimensional. Lacks the thick body and malt depth of a good IIPA. More of a high abv regular IPA. Great tasting beer regardless of specifics.

This version varies so much, sometimes even within a single sixer. Sometimes its a true IPA, others its almost got a Barleywine sweetness to it that you have to be ready for. Pours a dark golden orange with a huge floral/citrus nose at first... but sometimes the caramel/brown sugar sweetness completely takes over. This beer would rate much higher if it were more consistent. Still a very good beer that I would recommend to anyone.

Had this out of a bottle at fermentation lounge in Tallahassee. Great citrus hop aroma with very malty strong ale type flavor. Good beer.

Pours hazy golden orange color with little head. Aroma of citrus hops but itís faint.. great malty taste with a hoppy addition and a slight alcohol finish..

Bottle from ÷lbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark. Aroma has a lot of bread and caramel from the malt and just a hint of floral notes from the hops. Pours a dark amber, almost brown, with a thick white foam. Taste is medium sweet, a little sour and slightly bitter. The bottle I had was probably too old to be enjoyed properly though. Medium carbonation and a slight oily feel on the palate.

My New Years beer.. opened 10 minutes to midnight, finished 30 minutes thereafter. Extremely over hopped, and not in a good way. Matches your Dogfish Head in the extreme hop category, but it was so overpowering that that the subtletry is gone. A little chewy malt, that if you let it sit on your mouth a while an let the hops wash over, you can get. Not thin on the tongue, bridging on chewy. Golden orange/yellow color when poured. Little fizzy, but since this is not a winter beer, it was not what I wanted after-all, Iíll re-visit this after the second bottle, but style-wise, as the D-IPA, it is at least representative. Enjoyed a six-pack of this. Pours rich orange with nice clarity. Aroma is all pine and caramel malt. Flavor packs a orange, lightly caramel punch with nice bitterness and relatively high carbonation. Drinks nicely.
