At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Clear orange color, with a small/medium white head. A great aroma!! I would love to have a shampoo that smells like this I think. Its just a soft and malty, lightly fruity, almost sugary, flowery, hoppy aroma. The flavour is similar. Sweet, big hops, even some caramel, with a bitter finish. Almost creamy in consistency.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2007 Poured a nice copper color with average sized head. The floral aromas are strong with some citrus notes. The flavor was nice, a little mellow for an IIPA though. Had bright grapefruit and pine flavors, with a nice caramel hint. The dry biscuity flavor is nice on the frontend and blends well with the respectable bitterness on the back. Overall, I did like the flavor and strength of this IIPA, but didn’t care for the structure or overall flavor of these hops...There seemed to be too much going on, with little impact of a certain variety of hops. Very drinkable Imperial with good complexity and flavor, but really wasn’t impressed with overall taste.

Great orange color and very firm off-white head. there is some alcohol in the aroma, but nothing overwhelming. the true power of the aroma is in the hoppiness. The taste starts out sweet and mellow but then the hops hit and they never quit. It is an all out assault on your taste buds. The medium carbonation dies fairly quickly making this a fairly thick beer that will leave you with hop breath all day long.

8/11/13 bottle bought at RW and drank at B&C for Barry's 59th bday. Good well rounded ipa. Bright orange color and strong hop finish. Huge Smell. Wasn't the hop bomb I had hoped for but a solid beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. 07.09.10. Pours a deep golden honey color with a creamy head like melted whip cream. Taste is predominately pine with some mild citrus hops, pineapple, and a nice caramel malt backbone. The nose is spicy, piney hops, caramel malt, some citrus fruits (pineapple and lemon zest), and a hint of orange rhind. The mouthfeel is very creamy, bordering on being mildly chewy. A nice velvety texture. Great iipa for the price. Thanks Lagunitas.

Beautiful pine aroma when opening bottle. Balanced by a background malt. Thin head, perfect amber in color. Bursts with flavor - none too bitter. Nicely carbonated. Very easy on the toungue for this style of beer. Smoothly bitter - if that means anything. A tasty treat that doesn’t rely on high ABV and bitterness as a selling point.

22 oz bomber in an English pint. Clear orange pour, minimal off white head. Lotsa hops on the nose and then some pine. Citrus is a bit strong upfront then the malt comes thru. This is a PFG brew. Sometimes I have a hard time with IPA’s at first. It takes a bit to appreciate the hoppy ones.

Great IPA. Complex malty start moving into a resiny/grassy hop finish/. High gravity with excellent mouthfeel. All the complexity I expect from such a brewery.

A solid IPA. Nice appearance, good lacing on the glass and good carbonation level. Hops dominate, but it's well-balanced. As with most Lagunitas brews, a solid beer for the money and would recommend.
