COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Nice head, strong hop aroma. 22 oz. $3.39 at Fred Meyer. What a deal. Even though hop flavor is strong too much maltiness seeps through for my idea of an imperial. Very good though, strong bitter aftertaste that lingers.

Pours a medium-to-dark amber with a white head. Light aroma of floral hops with a hint of penicillin. In the mouth, it has spiky carbonation and medium body. Taste was relatively dry, with solid floral hops giving away to moderate bitterness.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a clear copper with noticeable carbonation. Bountiful aroma of hops. Really nice smell. First taste is a feel of that carbonation, which quickly gives way to some nice hoppiness, though it doesn’t stack up to some of the best IIPAs (e.g. Ruination). It was a nice beer all the way through, but I was left hoping for a wee bit more.

Nice copper, reddish color. The aroma and flavor are over the regular IPA, it is noticeably more bitter, with more citrus and piney notes.

Pours golden with a white foamy head. Smells of light citrus. Tastes of hops, citrus, and light bitter. Slightly sweet. Finishes refreshingly.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2014 Almost no head; golden orange in the glass. Smell is delicious -- apple turnovers, candied fruit, a little grass, some citrus. Taste is crisp, bready, cooked pastry dough, tangy and slightly dry on the finish. Really good.

12 oz. pours brownish yellowwith very little head. Not a lot on the nose some caramel, pine and grapefruit. Very malty, some pine but it’s not ripping the enamel from my teeth. Mouthfeel is thin for an Imp IPA and the finish is bitter but not long.

Big forthy head, leaves some lacing. Aroma is pine, floral and caramel. Very malty taste, caramel, butterscotch. Also a lot of hoppy bitterness and fruityness. Pretty sweet.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a large rocky-frothy off white head. Aroma is fruity, with lots of hops. Initial taste is soft fruity and sweet malts. Mouthfeel is a soft carbonation with a bitter hop that coats the entire palate. Head retention is good and the lacing the glass looks absolutely excellent, completely slapped and pasted over. Long, good finish. Wonderful!
