Feb 14, 2004 Medium to light orange, decent head. Bitter but pleasant aroma. Hop blast with a focus on the bitterness. Malts are strong, trying to balance the hops, but they just can't do it. Almost like a tannin driven Zinfandel that hasn't mellowed yet.

Apr 27, 2005 This has actually a musty caramelly malty aroma with some hints of citrus orange and grapefruit mixed in. This does not smell like your typical west coast IPA. Mildly hazy copper color with a small light tan/yellow head. Burnt toast flavors in the end. Almost like a burnt popcorn. Whoa. Some bitter hops, but definitely an overburnt flavor to finish. I don’t know if this was brewer’s intention or a bad offering. Theres a slight vinous sour character to start. This bottle might be off...

Jun 1, 2004 Bomber. 05.24.04 Honey gold color. Medium head, much lacing. Pretty beer, nice, lingering carbonation. C-hops and sugar on the nose. Lots of sugar, infused honey, sugar. Otherwise, it’s a pretty run of the mill IPA, sort of an oily, resiny attempt at 90 Min. Prominent, but not greatly balanced hops make this I2PA less than great.

Dec 31, 2006 Worthy Bomber. Super, strong citrus and hops nose, sweet and orangey. Clear orange pour with a foamy beige head. Sticky and bitter, loads of hops and piney resin. Lots of citrus with a touch of biscuit. Fullish mf, dry and resinous hoppy aftertaste, warms long into the night. Nice!

Apr 11, 2004 Updated: May 24, 2004Deep golden-orange body with some apparent viscosity, mild carbonation, and a velvety off-white head. Nice lacing in my New Belgium snifter. Nice fresh grapefruit hop in the nose plus some malty, stone fruit action underneath. Piney bittering hops. Bitterness is actually understated but flavor is still mostly hops and therefore this is a bit one-dimensional. Additional qualities in the flavor emerge very reluctantly but do finally come out. Thanks to loweredsixth for sending two bottles my way.

Mar 9, 2007 massive floral hops on this pale honey pour. Liquified flower shop in this unusally creamy beer. Hops not over the top like so many IPAs.

Oct 22, 2006 Aroma is floral, pine and citrus hops with a deep caramel malt sweetness beneath. Body is a murky orange/caramel color and holds a creamy and lassting white head. Bitter piney hop fore with some milder grapefruit notes and a big dollop od syrupy caramel sweetness that runs through all flavor ranges. Decent as this style goes, but the hops become distracting to my palate after a short time.
