COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Bottle, bought @ Vinens Verden, Odense.
Pours lightly coppery golden with a great, creamy, small, off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, but with quite a malty balance. Slightly weak mouthfeel, but the ABV is a bit low. Super dry flavour, though, good hoppiness. Dryness, but not that much character, actually. Disappointing.

approx 0.65 litres bottle, according to my google translation of ancient measuring system used on bottle ;-). lovely deep orange with a smooth thick yellow/light orange head. pleasantly mild hoppy aroma, somewhere between pine/grape and yellow fruits. some malts and some salt can also be detected. flavor is very malty, very hoppy, quite dry (comes almost as an acid note), salt licorice. both malt and hops are powerfull. the balance is okay. quite sweet brew. i like it a lot. good DIPA, one of the sweeter ones. i’ve tasted.

Light hazy gold with restrained hops aroma, very pleasant. Good solid sweet malts with hops comming well in final, but not in your face. Alcohol very present, but overall pleasant. (Sept. 2004)

355ml bottle (Systembolaget, Stockholm)
Sweet caramelly biscuity malts in the aroma, and lots of fruity hops too. Smooth slick palate, but crisp carbonation cuts through that well. In the mouth it’s full of sugars, tons of caramel, and loads of fleshy fruit flavours too. Some alcohol wafts over too. Too much sugar, and it fails to cover the alcohol. However, despite those negatives, there is a hedonistic aspect, the sticky juicy friuts just tempt you in. One only for the end of the evening, I’d think.

22-oz. bottle. Pours a coppery orange sunset with tiny bubbles quickly rising to form a rocky, frothy off-white head, good lacing. Orange citrus rind and pine aromatic bouquet with traces of yeast (sweat) and malt (meal). Heavily bitter, moderately acidic citrus rind, pine and resinous flavor that scorches the taste buds almost to the point of hiding the medium sweetness and malt, yeast notes. Medium bodied and spicy, lively carbonated palate.
