COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Try pronouncing it with a Sean Connery accent. Sounds like a beer you don’t want to mess with. Glad I did! Nice copper color with an off-white head. Lace that stuck like glue to the glass. Incredible citrus and floral hop aromas. It’s a DIPA but is really well balanced. Also higher on the ABV but no bite from the alcohol content. Medium+ carbonation and less than average viscosity. This is a very sessionable DIPA in my opinion. Next time I’m going for the growler fill. PS - I paired it with some roast antelope which is a bit gamey, they both worked well together.

Pours orange with a large white head. Smells earthy with some solid citrus notes. Taste is juicy citrus with a caramel sweetness backbone. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Lagunitas Maximus finishes with a soft lingering bitterness.

12oz bottle into a tumbler. Pours a slightly opaque golden colour with lastig white head and lots of lacing. Subtle, pleasant nose of pine hops, light citrus. Some malt. Slightly sweet, but not overpoweringly so; light bitter finish. Very pleasant.

Bottle 33cl. Dark golden with a nice big white foamy head. Nose has hints of fresh hops and citrus. Nice balance between rich malt and bitter hops. Very good beer. Medium length.

Draught@ home. Amber filtered, thick white head. Floral nose, white pepper. Little artificial though. Full flavour, not too thick or sweet, dried apricot, figs. Boozy, herby finish.

Keg at Drygate. Clear amber beer with a thin head. Dry, sour fruit aroma. Flavour is crisp refreshing fruit, a slightly sour grapefruit hint, with bitter hop cutting through it perfectly to stop it being sickly. Leaves an almost too-sweet aftertaste but again, it’s just right with a certain tartness there. Tremendous beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges .Aroma has pine hops with a bit of citrus bitterness and some light grains backing. Flavor has bitter citrus up front with growing pine and resin and a sweet grain backbone.

good IPA but a bit too malty, the hops did not shine through. resin, citrus, alcohol, medium body, average carbonation, bitter

Bottle. Pours a clear dark copper body with a large frothy beige head that had excellent retention. The nose is pretty citrusy and resiny in the hops department, but there’s a rather hefty caramel malt sweetness in there as well. I’d prefer this to be a little lighter on the caramel. The flavor is really heavily sweet, even with all these hops in here. A nice resiny hoppiness that clings to the palate on the finish at least. Medium to full bodied, clingy and sticky, with soft fizzy carbonation. Not my preferred interpretation of the style.
