UPDATED: JUN 8, 2004 Really tasty double! Satiated my hop craving. Nice malt flavors accented by a little grapefruit. A big beer that is also very nicely balanced.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Darkover (1449) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 5, 2007
Hazy orange color with a beige head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops. Flavor of grapefruit hops. Not very malty, and pretty mild for a 2IPA, but its really good.

Resin and grapefruit aroma (and malt). Gold tending towards reddish amber (top to bottom under halogen), maybe a ruby hint towards the bottom. Medium feel, malt to start, moving to hops, to grapefruit, to hops. Grapefruit noticeable at the finish. Swish and it’s chewable. Swish and an apricot component appears. And it’s 78 ibu. Nicely astringent when all is done. Pine in the burp. Really, really, great.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 igneous1 (1418) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - FEB 20, 2004
acquired from cquiroga. hazy copper color with a nice light beige head. aroma is astringent and sharp with pine. flavor reveals the similar qualities to the aroma, just a bit more subdued, the malts show up much more in the flavor. brown sugar quality to the flavor. the hops linger too, so this beer is damn nice..thanks to cquiroga for this one.

Bottle. Wonderful deep golden hazy appearance. Rather smooth and balanced for an IPA, almost creamy. Hops galore!

Very nice, in fact, it seemed much better than the last time i tried it.
Not the most bitter beers in the world, it actually had pretty good balance despite the name.
Highlly recomended!

Clear copper body topped by a medium off-white head. This is a very clean IIPA. The relatively low abv is well hidden so the beer feels like an intense IPA rather than an IIPA. Grainy malts, peppery hops, low sweetness, oily body. Very hoppy with medium bitterness. Excellent, trully a maxi-must.
