Nice fresh hop aroma with citrus, mango and peach. Pretty salty stuff with a somewhat weak body. Still the flavor is impressive. Tropical fruits emerge and it gets quite juicy. Some tingle in the mouth from the hops. Not the greatest double... but pretty damn good. blackmurder (170), sadf, Hawaii, USA

This beer has a strong earthy/piney flavor along with the typical hoppiness IPAs are known for. GriffinAvenue (396), Winchester, Massachusetts, USA

Bitterness assaults the tongue and stays prominently present throughout. Tangy, ammonia, nectarine combination . . . a very odd mix. Like drinking a very pleasing household cleaner. Strangely, I like it.

Flavor is intensely hoppy with a nice hint of sweet caramel malt. Nice, fruity aroma is not overwhelmed by the intense hops experienced in the taste. JB175 (1665), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is very citrus-hop centric with a nice bit of malty sweetness coming through. Flavor is a nice grapefruit/citrus/sweet bready malt combo that works well all around. Nice tingly, hoppy mouthfeel. More like a stronger IPA than a DIPA, but who cares? Similar to Kill Ugly Radio in many ways. Solid DIPA! shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 19, 2006 Lighter amber color, kind of a vibrant oragne color; only slightly hazey. Lively carbonation with a lasting pale yellow head that stays around and leaves a generous amount of lacing. Aroma is
subtle, but complex with hints of citrus. Flavor is sweet citrus (not overpowering) and the bitterness is good, but subdued at first and slowly builds up through the sweetness. The 72.41 IBU doesn’t nail you all at once. The bitterness lingers through the finish and becomes a little dry. Alcohol is very well integrated with only a hint in the flavor toward the end. Gets better and better the more you drink. Lagunitas is another brewery that is quickly gaining my favor!

A great beer, but definately not what I was looking for in the style. An extremely sweet burnt raisin and caramel flavor with a peppery hop bite, but little bitterness, followed with a very pronounced, almost porter-like roastedness. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA

Rose orange colors with a whitish head. Flavors are the same as the aroma with a good balance of sweet and bitter. Mild palate. Fruity and sweet with a good hoppy backbone. Very enjoyable and drinkable.
