citrus and pine hop aroma ... sweet citrus rind, concentrated orange and medium pine resin ... very nice balance of pine and citrus with a good amount of light sweetness ... maybe its the new batch or maybe its the timing of my growing appreciation of craft beer over the last year, but this is better than I remember

Beautiful golden red color with a fast head. Sweet floral aroma of tart cherries, apple, orange. Sweet crisp greeting with some expected citrus, barely noticeable alcohol, and bitter but relatively clean aftertaste. bconger (78), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

Toffee and citrusy hops on the nose. Remarkably robust on the palate. I expected the complex hops bouquet, but I didn’t expect the magnificent, toasty malt. There are flavors uncharacteristic for the style - like cane syrup - but this is a remarkably good beer. Long, lingering bitter finish. kidmartinek (1004), austin, Texas, USA

Pours with a 2.4 inch head, (yes, 2.4 inch) that just won’t quit. Super bitter, hop aroma. Taste is like pure hop bliss, It’s perfect. It’s a lot, but not too much, and definitely enough. Texture is medium, and full. After taste is bitter, which if you’re drinking this, you know how good it is then. anthlovesbeer (67), north grafton, Massachusetts, USA

It pours a darker amber, with a retaining off white head. The aroma is classic IPA with some citrusy notes, and some alcohol on the nose. The flavor follows suit with huge hopps and a slight bite of alcohol on the finish. This is definitely one of the better IPA’s I’ve had in a while, being very well balanced and drinkable. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 9, 2009 Slightly hazy golden with a thick long lasting white creamy head. Light nose of hops on the fruity side (apricot, nectarine), delicate but appealing. Full bodied with a terrific mid-palate saturated by a massive dose of hops that leads to an evrlasting finale of sundried apricots. Un délice...
Tasted side by side with 3 floyds Alpha King, it outclassed it by miles in every aspect.
