COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!

Pours clear light amber with a small white head that dissipates with some lacing. Aroma is surprisingly malty with forward notes of caramel and bread with a pine/citrus backing. Flavor is about the same, medium to quite sweet, light to medium bitter and a bit grassy on the finish.

Aroma is pine needle, citrus, clove, crystal malts and caramel. Taste is crisp malts, honey and caramel. The hop profile is deep and very well balanaced. Grapefruit, passionfruit, clove and pine needle. Finishes quite smoothly for the amount of hop character and abv. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a medium head that retains pretty well.Solid beer.

I guess I am going agains the tide on this one and rating it a bit higher than most. Beer poor a rich coppery color with a white mostly diminishing head. Slight amount of lacing but all in all a nice appearance...Aroma is clearly hoppy with sent of pine and citrus predominant. Flavor is a little short of the hop promise but nicely balanced with a decent malt backbone supporting a moderately hopped beer. Plate is good at between a three and a four. Not a bad choice for an IPA when Dogfish 90 is just a little to stout.

Gets whacked early from the hop smash. Pine and resin. Oily, fruity and a hint of the alcohol but a reasonably soft finish. Good perfume in glass. Like a pot pourri. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great aroma with citrus, pine, and a little flowery hops. Bitter, fruity taste with citrus and a little underlying caramel. Fruit, pine, and alcohol in the finish. Overall a fine effort.

Pours orange with a large white head. Smells earthy with some solid citrus notes. Taste is juicy citrus with a caramel sweetness backbone. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Lagunitas Maximus finishes with a soft lingering bitterness.

12oz bottle into a tumbler. Pours a slightly opaque golden colour with lastig white head and lots of lacing. Subtle, pleasant nose of pine hops, light citrus. Some malt. Slightly sweet, but not overpoweringly so; light bitter finish. Very pleasant.

Bottle 33cl. Dark golden with a nice big white foamy head. Nose has hints of fresh hops and citrus. Nice balance between rich malt and bitter hops. Very good beer. Medium length.
