COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

Bottle from Systembolaget enjoyed at home
Golden, big white head. Smells of peach, pineapple, pine and malts. Taste is medium sweet, grainy, some pine and wood, some yeast notes. Medium bitter, resins and pine. A very nice pine apa. Just a very nice thirst queller

On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear golden with a big white head and great lacing. Grapefruity, orange peel, light caramel, a touch of grass, biscuit, and weedy aroma. Taste is grapefruit, citrus, fruit peel, bready, a touch earthy and caramel with a big bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Nice pale.

@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (21:-). Riktigt frisk doft av tropiska frukter. Smak av citrus och tropiska frukter. Medelfyllig med en torr och lagom beska. Riktigt god.

Pours a clear golden with some substrate floating around with a medium to large white head. It has a very strong herb hops aroma. The taste is slightly bitter (despite the aroma) with a nice touch of sweetness. The body is thin to medium with a slightly sticky texture. This is a great IPA for the outdoors (which I find rare) and is certainly worth picking up a six-pack or grabbing one at your local watering hole. One of the better IPAs I’ve had. Lagunitas is climbing up my list of favorite breweries.

(12 mai 2013)

Stockholm. Clear orange, big white head. Smell is caramel and tropical fruits though quite toned down. Taste is the same but, again, is mild. Not a great deal of bitterness. Bit of grapefruit. Quite refreshing. A more intense version of this beer would get a high score from me.

Sample at the Lagunitas tap room. Smooth tasting pale ale, slightly bitter - perhaps verging on IPA.

Strong aroma with this one: lots of piney, grass, weeds, some citrus, and herbal notes. Taste is piney, resin, herbal hops, less citrus, and the malt character is almost completely hidden. Really hoppy. Finish is very crisp and dry. A lot of "west coast" character permeates this brew.

330ml bottle. Yellow-orange clear body with a medium white head. Grape peel, citrus, honey, pine. Easy but well made.

Pale yellow color. Aroma: Pine, grapefruit, pomegranate, orange, caramel and grass. Taste: Pretty sweet and hoppy. Pine and grapefruit are still noticable. Earthy and bread, some orange peel. Nice bitter grapefruity finish. This is a really delicious pale ale and one that you could probably have a couple of outside in the summertime.
